Something not right about this. Yesterday it was super league, today they've caved after a bit of opposition in the media and Few Chelsea cunts outside Stamford Bridge.

Something very fishy.

Oh, I'll love to be a fly on the wall at the next PL meeting when chairmen of The Rebel 6 walk in.

They've tarnished their clubs who will never be trusted again. Ever. No doubt they'll try this shit on again in a few years when they think conditions are more favourable, unless the Government step in and take action to prevent it - permanently.

Global media condemnation , ex players , current players , Fans , threats of league suspensions , national team omission , governments .

Was a big backlash

Great news but lets hope this pushes the government to bring in the often threatened regulation of football. The football authorities and club owners have had enough chances and have done nothing meaningful.
United fans will be genuinely delighted

Absolutely has to happen now. All of those involved should be banned from club ownership ever again too.

I think they will. Can’t see football being allowed to self govern after this mess

It was. But given the money involved you think they'd have tried to tough it out a bit longer.
Its come and gone in 48 hours.

Somethings not right. Perhaps Lineker was right all along. It was just a power play aheadof the CL revamp.

Something doesn't add up for me.

Yeah, I don't think they expected the Government to step in. There was talk of safety certificates being withdrawn for Super League stadiums etc.

Plus the TV broadcast platforms (Sky, BT, Amazon) have distanced themselves from the ESL as well. They can't risk criticising it now, and then getting broadcast rights a year or so from now and bragging about it then.

Somebody at juventus has resigned aswell ...what a bunch of wankers 🤣

Id take the Chelsea model. Fan owned org has the naming rights and the freehold of the ground, leases them to the club. Owner gets free reign as long as they don’t piss off 75% of the fans.

better days

Is he just going to be the fall guy for the owners?
Massive implications for Man U
The Glazers bought the club with debt with Woodward's help and loaded it on the club
They've taken big dividends year on year to add to that debt
The Man U share price went up on the New York stock exchange the morning after the ESL was announced
Expect it to plummet now
Could get very messy for them

In the old days coup leaders ended up against a wall being shot now just resign.
Turning into an absolute shambles and glad it is. Leadership of clubs involved need holding to account.
Surprised it's collapsing so fast as these treacherous sods have obviously been planning it for a long time
