Great interview with Robins. Really open with what’s been going on in the camp, and he’s clearly proud of what the squad has achieved. So proud tonight.

To survive in this league in our first season, with room to spare and without resorting to anti-football, is a phenomenal achievement that cannot be understated. Given where we were when he walked back into the club, and given the off field distractions and budget restraints, I cannot praise the man enough.

He has restored pride to this great club and done so with integrity and class. I, for one, will never forget that.

What he say bro
Saying that there was a real big chat after the QPR game and the team have really dug in the last week. Said he was so proud of the whole squad because they’ve done nothing but work hard. Said Wilson struggled with the massive run of games as he’s never been a number 1 but took him out for a time and he’s come back refreshed.

I was furious and said he needs to prove himself by sorting the team out and earning our survival. We've done that incredibly well.

The QPR performance and team selection was nearly unforgivable but you get forgiven by winning 4 in 5 when it counts and getting the team playing the best football of the season.

I don't have concerns going in to next season with him any more.

I want to see him be ruthless in the summer though. We've clearly got the framework of a mid table team. He needs to move some popular but not up to it players on and make some key signings.

We also have to attack games like this next season. We're obviously good enough so with some improvements I don't want to see us settling for draws away at shit teams or defending them at home with 30 minutes left.

All in all I'm very happy for my concerns to have been bullshit.

One thing we’ve got to bear in mind is that this season you have to rotate more often than not because of the turnaround of games.

In short, I don’t think Shipley nor Allen earned a start or Robins thought they’d tear it up. It’s probably down to players like O’Hare running themselves into the ground and they need a rest.

100% agreed we need a culling of players and we need to increase our squad depth. This season, I’ve always felt that MR hasn’t really trusted his bench this season.

See I don't necessarily agree we need more squad depth, the squad is pretty deep now when you think about players like Shipley and Allen then the ones out on loan and the youngsters coming though. The squad has shown the last few weeks it's good enough to compete. We really need to add 3/4 players of genuine quality this summer.

Well some said he's got to earn his money , and he's guided a team under serious pressure to 4 wins in 5 matches and safety .

I think Robins has been a fantastic manager for us, certainly the best in the past 20 years. Hard to say he is better than Milne or Sillett. However, he is still here, so who knows what he could go onto achieve!

After the loanees go back to their clubs, there’s a lot of work to be done in the recruitment department.

We need to have a bit of a clear out this summer.

He's always been pretty ruthless previously, think upgrading Grimmer with Sterling, Davies with McFadz, allowing Doyle to leave & we know he was happy to see Biamou leave this summer etc.
The challenge this time is offloading such players & replacing them with significantly higher quality on still a very tight budget.

I’m hoping we don’t take as many unknown gambles we have too much sitting by around as it is I get budget dictates what we can & can’t do

How can anyone have anything but love and admiration for the man. Look at the other two teams that came up with us both in the relegation zone.

He got us promoted in his first full season and we have overachieved every season since. Finishing top half in league one as a newly promoted team. Next season won the division playing some of the best football I’ve ever seen us play... and now this season steering us to safety and currently sitting above and around teams with much bigger budgets.

He’s more important to us than any player we have. Let’s hope he stays with us.

What happened to Dujon Sterling after he went back to Chelsea? I presume they loaned him out again but I havent seen him feature for anyone. Thought he was a good player for us.
