Just looked up Sam McQueens career as I remember signing him on loan a few times on football manager and he was pretty decent. What a waste of a career so far, has he had injuries. 26 and has played 20 games for Southampton and a total of 23 out on loan at 2 clubs. Only played 43 first team games

Yeah is a shame. Again, at a bit of a cross roads, could pick him up cheaply because of that injury history

Montsma is an absolute beast defender, proper goal threat too. Shows there are some gems out there at obscure European clubs, we just don't find them haha.

I agree we'd be lucky to sign anyone proper Championship proven, looking at people we can polish a little. I do think Stockley would be a good option.

Like the sound of Montsma. I think overall we probably want to bring in 6 or 7 players but im hoping that at least 4 or 5 of those are aimed at improving the starting 11 and the centre-halves are probably a key area to do so. If he's left footed and quick that really would be perfect.

Someone in a similar role to O'Hare I'd like us to have a look at is Panutche Camara at Plymouth. Another rough diamond & similar to O'Hare in that he needs to improve his end product but can play 10 or deeper & got bags of talent.

Montsma would be a good Østigård replacement assuming we can't get Leo back. His pass accuracy has been better than Østigård's but, despite his size, Østigård is still better aerially (his leap is phenomenal).
Some question marks such as the big dip in form he had at the turn of the year which actually saw him dropped for a while but he's looked good again recently. Also, with Lincoln going well he might not be affordable.

Still really need a left sided CB though. Jacob Greaves would have been my top pick but that's a non starter. Rob Atkinson may be possible if Oxford don't get promoted.

Yes I don't expect me and one or two randoms on this forum are alone in noticing Montsma. He may well be outside our budget, especially if we want to spread it about a bit.

What about Jorge Grant Midfielder Lincoln?

Out of our budget, I'd imagine.
We could easily afford him he would jump a the chance as he’s close to walker apparently that’s before the fact we are a far bigger club that Lincoln, tidy enough player at times just doesn’t do enough for me,I don’t see robins struggling with Grant if he wanted him

Paterson would be a great signing - he is an underrated player and would provide great competition for COH, and another attacking creative option.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen.

Boddy said today we will have around the 4th smallest budget in the league next season .
He said we had the 2nd smallest this season

I mean it's progress 🤣

He said at best the 4th lowest I think.

I’m not up with L1 at all, but if Rotherham stay up and two teams with small budgets come up, that puts us at 4th lowest without any increase.

Equally if Derby/Sheff Wed stay up and say Sunderland and Hull get promoted maybe we’re 2nd lowest again. Doesn’t really tell us much.

Boddy / Robins..They haven't failed us yet ...hopefully we progress further next season

Think we can put any chance of us signing Ike Ugbo to bed. Watford have opened talks to sign him for £5m, Frankfurt, Genk & Monaco are also interested apparently.

I thought putting my getting Kate Upton in was a clear sign that my suggestions weren’t grounded in reality.

Cleary I underestimated how pretty/rich/large penised SBT thinks I am.

Can't be itk as no chance he'd qualify for a work permit.

Looked at that. Looks like you need 15 points and he’d fall just short on around 13. If they got promoted he might get another 1 or 2 points but then if they get promoted we probably wouldn’t be able to sign him

Hahaha, there I was shopping for hats.

I only mentioned him because I know we were linked in passing with him last summer. With the Viveash link any Chelsea prospect of a certain level and vintage will inevitably be linked with us.

Great season for Clermont. Just a suggestion or ITK?

I just looked at his stats and thought he would be ideal, I didn’t even consider his work permit problem to be honest.

I would be disappointed if we went for him. I’d rather us sign that Lang from Wigan

That looked only a possibility if Wigan went down, two games to go and they’re four points above the drop. Have some decent players contracted and new investment so should be challenging next season

Jephcott from Plymouth may be achievable given he hasn’t scored for 17 games now...
