That looked only a possibility if Wigan went down, two games to go and they’re four points above the drop. Have some decent players contracted and new investment so should be challenging next season

Jephcott from Plymouth may be achievable given he hasn’t scored for 17 games now...
We're a Championship club now, we have a good chance of getting pretty much any league one player we want, assuming we have funds of course.

Just looked up Sam McQueens career as I remember signing him on loan a few times on football manager and he was pretty decent. What a waste of a career so far, has he had injuries. 26 and has played 20 games for Southampton and a total of 23 out on loan at 2 clubs. Only played 43 first team games

Southampton manager has just admitted McQueen's career is all-but over. Hasn't played in 2.5 years because of infected screws in his knee following ACL surgery.

He does have dodgy knees though

There are plenty of world-class players who successfully recovered from ACL: Falcao; Alan Shearer; Van Nistelrooy...

Jodi has been unlucky to have three, but both knees have now been fixed by a top specialist. If it goes again after that, I agree his career is over. But IMO it's worth giving him another season.

We had the same discussions after the second one. 3 similar injuries on both knees is more than just bad luck sadly. I rated him when he was fit but he hasn't been since 2017

OK, well if you want him gone, work hard at school, get involved in professional football at the top level and when Robins leaves you can apply for his job and terminate Jodi's contract. Nothing could be easier.

Who is the most injury prone Jodi Jones or Liam Kelly ?

It's hardly surprising that Kelly picks up loads of injuries - he must be off balance due to the heavy load he has to bear. It must put a strain on all of his muscles. The club has offered genital-reduction surgery to fix the issue but he's turned it down - obviously not taking his career seriously.

None of them 3 rely on their pace though

With Jones he has to get match fit as well as improve one or two levels from when we last seen him. Big ask. He deserves a chance though and if the prognosis is as good as Robins believes then we don’t have much to lose.

Not a specific player but two aspects I think we need to kick on in the Championship next season in terms of recruitment, pace and options of width.

Pace - Not a criticism but I feel like we're a very slow team. Only Dabo, O'Hare and Walker (when he uses it) have any noticeable pace. The majority of top half Championship teams have pace down the spine of the team or at least in their forwards and wingers. Any forward we go for should have pace to help balance out this deficit.

Defensively we have no pace whatsoever other than Dabo. Ostigard is slow but reads the game exceptionally well, can recover and his positioning is spot on. We need some pace in centre defence and Hyam, Rose, McFadzean don't read the game well enough to compensate and regularly get caught out.

Width - Robins knows better than me and he might want to play narrower with 'two numbers 8s' as he's mentioned before.. however I think we could do with some more options when it comes to width. So as posters and radio callers (who is the idiot that keeps ringing in every phone in asking when Pay on the Gate is going to available and getting the same answer by the way?) keep asking about, if we were to go two up front, we have some width coming from wingers and wide forwards.

I know playing with wing backs can give you width however in our position as a bottom half team in this league, if we are playing a strong opposition, our wing backs get pushed back into full backs meaning we end up very narrow in 5-3-1-1 with an isolated lone man upfront. We don't have the options to go with width or wingers in the squad at the moment IMO.

If you want to waste a wage on someone who doesn't play then go ahead. Most expensive mascot in history.

People acting like Jodi Jones (even if he can get back to full fitness and last 90 minutes without his knee going again) would be able to cut it in the Championship because he had a decent spell in League 2 about 3 years ago hahahahaha. Coventry fans easily the most deluded on the planet. The lad is finished. We need to let him go.

Dont Tell me he’s better than Callum O Hare but not as good as Ashley Cain

What would you rather do, keep Kasta and Hilsner?
