I like Shipley. I often feel like I'm on my own with this, but I still think there's a decent player in there and he's got a happy knack of chipping in with goals. I don't think he's as good as COH though... apart from shooting maybe...

Shipley has the one thing O'Hare doesn't. If we could extract Shipley's shooting and inject it into O'Hare we'd have an absolute gem.

I'm fine with shiperz staying as a back up, he is still young enough to improve. Up to him if he wants regular football really as he will be a squad player here

Shipleys best asset is his shooting. Its why I've been so frustrated all season because he's bottled shooting all season. Maybe his enforced break and my shushing thread has given him a kick up the arse

Definitely seems to be a real confidence player. Can't fault his workrate so far today either, he's everywhere.

Centre backs are picking out the AMs well with balls to feet today, makes the build up play much less predictable when they do that, rather than triangles with the DMs and out to the WBs.

Great, everyone can start tugging themselves off now because one of our own has scored 2 in 2

totally ignoring the fact he’s done fuck all for the rest of the season

I'm not going to have a go at this point because he's scored two goals and fair play to him for it. I'm genuinely happy for him.

But yes, you are right. He has been well below par all season, and a couple of decent strikes against two teams who are on the beach doesn't really mean a lot.

We need more goals from midfield, and Shipley seems to get goals from nowhere. It’s a good attribute to have and worth us keeping around.

I don’t think anyone is suggesting he’s one of our best players now.

Wouldn't say Milwall are on the beach, unless it's a very aggressive petulant one.

I'm with you on this one. It's not been his best year, he's not stepped up yet really but he's still young and has potential. One of the best finishers at the club too. I'd 100% keep him around.
