Hamer linked with Baggies and just about everyone else according to FLW (Football League World) and TBR (The Boot room) articles.

With all these big clubs sniffing around, why don't we try and be a bit unrealistic with his price tag......let them have a bidding war over him and try and get between 7-10 million

Last time West Brom came down they spent £3m on Sawyers, £8m on Zohore, £4m on Austin and £1.5m on Ajayi. So they're clearly not afraid to splash cash in the Championship.

Seeing as we would have to replace Hamer and also Improve other positions £5 mill is insufficient

I'd imagine there would be queues around the block for him, considering G said we would be lucky to get our money back on him.

Some silly numbers going around again, in my opinion at least. If we get £5m we'll have done very well.

Looking at some of the crazy prices for standard midfielder transfers from or in the championship over the last few years. Makes me think we could get at least £8m this season. It could double next season though...

Championship - Transfer records
Only 3 went for over £8m according to that.

1) A generational talent in Bellingham went to one of the biggest teams in europe.
2) Doucoure went to Everton after being a consistent prem player and never actually playing in the championship.
3) Another superstar in Eze who blew up the championship before leaving.

Edited: Nevermind, seen I was searching just 20/21. Still think max we could get for him though would be £5m.

£8 million, back on loan and a percentage fee . Use the money to get James and Ostigard

Get a bidding war going, get £5m for him.

£1m on a LWB, £2m on a striker, £2m on a CB, get Walsh, James and the GK from Brighton in. Loan another CB and an AM. Finish top six.

We probably have at least £1m to spend on xfers anyway. So room for a bit more than that.
