Given today’s money being spent it’s extremely difficult to gauge how much he’d go for.
I’d say he’s not worth £8mil but it’s not inconceivable that he could go for that much to one of the big clubs. It’s the crazy ol’ world of football.

Has his head been turned by all this speculation is he unsettled here?

Love how everyone thinks Walsh is a direct replacement. I'd take him too (on a free and hope it works), but he's had a number of injuries and never performed at this level. He was great in L1, but as we've seen this season it's a huge step up, he might still be great at championship level, he might not.

I think some underestimate just what we have with Hamer. A full pre season now that he's settled and knows the league, I have a feeling he'll be tremendous next season and dictate games at this level. I'd rather keep and sell in January after a good start, hopefully with a premier team in trouble gambling on him.

Think it’s more a case of he’s obviously been distracted for a while and you may as well cash in on an unsettled player.

Hamer linked with Baggies and just about everyone else according to FLW (Football League World) and TBR (The Boot room) articles.
Shame we never got to see him in the flesh, think he will be a top player one day

we might still do if he joins another championship team, just a shame it might be against us and not with us ....PUSB

Would like to see Hamer here next season but if silly money is being offered you have to take it but only if, and its a big if, Robins is going to get a decent chunk of anything that comes in to improve the squad.

It is a huge step up.

But he was by far our best player last season, better than many who have taken the step up well

I have no doubts that Walsh is more than good enough for the Championship. It's his fitness which is the issue and without knowing too much about it I'd just argue it's been an unlucky year for him rather than him being a crock.

CT ( Iknow) speculating Baggies are maybe looking at him (Gus), possibly £5m with add-ons, they will have money to burn with £90m for being relegated and parachute payment of £45m in the first year. This League is so fecked up with this sort of disparity.

Tough one with Gus - don’t think he can get more than a few million on the basis that he ended the season poorly and subsequently the stats aren’t that compelling. Plus he’s only got two more years left on his contract. If we had three years, I’d say let him perform this season and prove he’s worth £7-8m, which I’m convinced he will be.
Get the sense this was always a stepping stone for Gus, wanted to showcase himself in England. Therefore if we get the right offer I’d reluctantly let him go, however let’s make no bones about it, he’s absolutely quality and will be a big loss.

West Brom haven’t a confirmed manager yet not forced to be Allardice.

There really needs to be a thread made on what constitutes a reliable source.

Literally quotes EFL Hub as the source, probably the worst bar none.

In the last couple of days they've linked Jamie Allen to all of Rotherham, Wimbledon & Barnsley I mean... they're all a similar level right!?
Not to mention he linked a player as attracting interest from the club he'd just left 🤦🏼‍♂️

Whether it’s 4 million 6 million or 20 million Robins will be lucky to get 1 million for team building and we will still have the fourth lowest budget in the division.

Is that Rangers news site legit? Find it really strange that they’d use EFL Hub as a source.
