I will never complain about having too many talented midfielders at the club. Bring in Sheaf, Walsh AND James - let Allen and Shipley go, Eccles out on loan again, and watch us stay up comfortably.

we can’t just let Allen and Shipley go

Of course we can. Did you learn nothing from Frozen...

No way should Eccles go out on loan he has done all that and has shown he is ready to force his way in the team can cover full back too.
I agree Eccles has shown real value to the team and looks ready to step up. What is most impressive is his versatility and for a young player stepping into the team at a crucial time he demonstrated he’s prepared to play whatever role for the benefit of the team.

Perhaps, but he needs to be playing regularly & if we have all those other options he might struggle for minutes.

Coming back to the subject if the thread I think we will try to get both Walsh and James
Walsh never really wanted to go back to Bristol and James has been a very positive influence at the club

I’d prefer Walsh on a free than Sheaf for £750k

Heck I’d even prefer Walsh injured for a year on a free than Sheaf on a free

I think many league one teams would be willing to pay a fee for both, Shipley especially with his knack for a goal. Ipswich were reportedly looking at Shipley at one stage.

I think we'd probably only get £500k total between them as they only likely get interest from L1. Prob one agree a significant sell-on for just in case.

But I agree they should both command some sort of fee nd would free up positions in the squad to upgrade. Plus they'd play more. It probably would be beneficial for everyone concerned.

Personally I would keep Shipley and I think he has the potentialto be a decent Championship player. However, given the effects of the last year on clubs I would be surprised if we got that much for them if we sell both.

Sheaf for 750k would be a dreadful bit of business, especially with Walsh being free
Think we may need to come to terms that the Sheaf deal is already done.....
We can cast all sort of opinions but Robins will know what he can/can't do budget wise.
I'd also be inclined to say that a deal for James may well be ahead of a deal for Walsh.
Again, just speculation, but only way I can see us attempting to bring in Walsh is if Hamer goes....but depending on timing of that, Walsh may well have already signed for someone else.

Who knows....lots of wheeling and dealing to be done....

Two defining factors for Walsh 1) Wages 2) Fitness and time to recover from injuries. If he is still the player he was at the end of our L1 loan, it is a no brainer. Probably a gamble worth taking unless we can secure the services of a better player.

I think there's a player in Sheaf, though some of the criticism is warranted but I think he'll be a decent signing.
Worry about Walsh's fitness.

if we can get some one to take Kasta off our hands that would be business transaction of the decade!
Miracles sometimes happen, look at Sunderland. If every city fan makes a wish, Kasta could turn into the player we thought he was going to be...and that pig could be flying past the window.

That said, I think Kasta has more chance winning the Eurovision Song Contest representing England than playing for us next season. I really hope someone is digging this out to embarrass me next year.

Loaaads been said. Numerous reports throughout the season from media stating "loan with an OBLIGATION to buy"
Obviously we don't know terms/what needs to be met, but have also seen on media (not here) that deal is done.
Little clues also such as him going back to Arsenal for treatment, then returning to squad for last games...

Until it’s confirmed officially tho is what I’m getting at

I’ll believe if when it’s officially confirmed talk On a forum doesn’t mean a lot
But as I did actually say, there has been so much more than just talk on a forum regarding this one.
There is/has been a lot to point in the direction of a deal.... particularly the word "obligation" which I'm 99% sure I have heard come out of Robins mouth, during an interview part way though the season....

Lets face it even if he was a squad player he would be a better option than either Allen or Shipley but would command a higher wage I would guess

How can you not rate Biamou, but then say we cant let Allen and Shipley go?
Did you not see how little they contributed last season? Shipley eventually bagged a couple of goals in dead rubber games at the end of the season, but let's be honest, they both looked way out of their depth.
If we can move them on, I'd much rather MR replace them, or even give a couple of the u23's a chance.

Shipley and Allen are both better players than Biamou. They always have and will continue to be

I think he means you can’t just release them. There needs to be takers and we need replacements ready to come in on their sale
