Again, there's nothing to prove in throwing their worst headlines at me and expecting me to defend everything they put out, because no-one would. Nor can I recall their last genuine scoop off the top of my head, although no doubt they've had them, because that's their job (even if they're not very good at it). I'm guessing you wouldn't have to go back far to find something they had which no-one else did, just because they're covering such an under-served patch - I'm not talking something that's going to win a Pulitzer, but team news nuggets etc.
Going back to the topic of this thread, I've no reason to doubt what they're saying about Walsh and Swansea, and I think there's value in them reporting that, even if it turns out to be inaccurate later on. The business model for local news is a shitshow, and as you've shown twice already, they're an easy target because they're such ramshackle operations that they have to stoop the lowest common denominator to generate traffic. But while it's good to expect better from them, I don't understand why people claim they'd rather have nothing at all - there aren't hordes of CCFC outlets waiting to fill the gap, and relying on the offal alone ensures that the club never gets criticized. And yet whenever I've stood up for the CT and all its problems, people are so affronted they think I must be working there!
