Called it. It was obvious from the language Boris has been using over the last week. That and his body language. The language being if his lips are moving he’s lying.

I'm sick of all this leaking to the press to work out how people react. It's the opposite of leadership.

That said-while cases continue to rise hospitalisation continue to flatline. If that trend holds then we may yet be out of the woods

Why don't you answer my question? I really want to understand what it is about this Government that appeals to the working class
Because they are better than Labour atm and when catweasle and his cronies were in charge of it. They don’t respect or understand my generation including all the lads I go football with.
If you regard yourself British or English and fly the flag of St George or the union flag by some Labour MPs your regarded as extreme right.
Ie thornberry the other year.
Labour kept going on about Boris and his flat redecoration, Most people don’t give two hoots about that and it showed in Hartlepool didn’t it?
Now we await another annihilation in Batley and Spen next month.
So what’s labours excuse gonna be for that,Another sacking?
I’d love to vote Labour again but they don’t appeal they rely on the union vote and are to extreme for my vote.

I direct you to 2014 when the Tories, with a grand total of one Scottish MP, relied on Labour sacrificing itself to keep the union intact. This crazy leftie has actually voted to preserve the union flag

He’s a coward, and a brainless one at that. Invited a new strain in for three weeks and then spent the last week lying about lifting the remaining restrictions.

Well done you know it makes sense.
What’s your view on devolution now, have many changed their minds since the last vote?

That's an explanation of why you don't like Labour.

My question was what is it that you think this Government does for the working class. Please tell me that, not what you think of Labour.

Ask the people of Hartlepool they’ll tell you,
Like the guy who blamed the locally and nationally imposed austerity measures not on the government that delivered them but the local MP that was powerless to stop them?

There is a lot to criticise Labour for... but peddling lies seems to be the standard Tory tactic.

Anybody think all mps are pricks regardless of party?

No. That’s lazy and childish and let’s the actual cunts off the hook. There’s a reason that the quality of MP has gone through the flow since the expenses scandal and general lack of trust in MPs has gone b

Not to their faces. I’m not getting into it again but Labour say they like the WC but feel like they don’t and the Tories are the opposite. Sort of.

Like the Tories who said British people were lazy just this year? It comes down just to ‘I like this guy’ and then working backwards to justify the choice. It’s like anything if you’re just ‘more likeable’ you get away with a lot more.

Though what is more likeable about toads like Williamson, Patel, Hancock and Gove I have absolutely no idea.

Yeah that’s exactly it. Most people’s decisions are gut based and backwards rationalised. First do they like them second everything else. That’s why the Tories focus on that and pulling out specific quotes or details doesn’t touch the sides.

And people like positive people who don’t make out that the average British person is a racist sexist stupid c**t. 🤷

This is spot on. Whether it’s BS or not at least Johnson will say he’s on the side of the working class and is listening. All the working class hear (some perceived, some actual) from labour/left is that they are thick and racist, when they are mostly patriotic and just worrried about themselves/their families futures

*if there isn’t attempts to level up by next election think the tide might turn a bit but not sure enough

And yet in Wales and Scotland at least voters seem to be choosing substance over personalities. Plus in a few pockets of England but not many
