The impression I get is far from being sceptics this age group is pretty desperate to get the jab, especially students
Yeah, Ive been pleasantly surprised

What bollocks.
The regions that need to prioritise the vulnerable are still doing so, although they’re i a minority now.
Yeah it’s now over 20% - in most cases the gap between booking a vaccine and actually having it administered is around 4 or 5 weeks for those under 40 but then a 4 week gap between the vaccines.I can’t see how the stats back that up unless there was a huge turn down in jabs from older people. How many have been vaccinated twice now - is it up to 20% yet?

As said before, I think there are larger numbers of older people not getting it, which is bizarre. The truth is though is it not that 12 million people have been fully vaccinated but there are actually 13 million in Italy who are over 65
Mentioned it before on this thread but there’s also a precedent for vaccinating those most likely to spread as a priority. It’s how the world eradicated smallpox. The WHO started targeting the groups most likely to be be spreading it than the groups most vulnerable. The most vulnerable in the U.K. have now been vaccinated or at least offered the opportunity. Let’s change tact and start vaccinating those most likely to spread. The younger age groups. The impression I get is far from being sceptics this age group is pretty desperate to get the jab, especially students

Was it doctor Hillary calling this age group out yesterday , when all the signs suggest at least 80% want it.The impression I get is far from being sceptics this age group is pretty desperate to get the jab, especially students
I think I read the other week that they’re missing their targets but that’s an issue with take up rather than availability of the vaccine. Think they’re considering making it mandatory. It's a bit after the horse has bolted at this point but I think only the Philippines went deliberately for this strategy. Haven't looked to see how it turned out for them.

Is this like an isolation period? One positive of this latest travel situation is that flights have dropped quite a bit. My despatch to Amsterdam is delayed by a couple of weeks, so I'm going to work from Spain for a fortnight or so on my way out.
Think I'm going to shut myself off from the world for a while.

Have you had your second jab yet?
Yep likewise.Mentioned it before on this thread but there’s also a precedent for vaccinating those most likely to spread as a priority. It’s how the world eradicated smallpox. I need to go to The Hague
Cases up 5,800 but hospitalisations down 22. Also now passed 40 million first jabs, excellent work
That isn't the be all and end all though is it? Pressure on the NHS is the point I think, but if the jabs are preventing serious illness hopefully that won't be an issue. All this talk of case rates going up etc...how many are actually dying from it now? The whole thing’s just so farcical
One assumes carweasel is the Sinn Fein suck up Corbyn
Starmers middle name it seems is Rodney hence the Dave joke
From Monday all restrictions here will be lifted apart from mask wearing and social distancing.

I’m referring to Veneto rather than the whole of Italy - I think there will be around a third of regions with the same level.Out of interest does that apply to crowds at football stadia - Italy are still quoting 25% capacity for the Euro games

What?
The link between cases and hospitalisation is "severed but not broken", says Matt Hancock
Hancock waffle....ignore
As long as we can have our flags ....‘They just get the working classes more’
Problem is he’s in government. And he’s not even the worst one.Hancock waffle....ignore
