I’m talking about the team now though. Ronaldo hasn’t had the best season and is still too much of a talisman for Portugal.

Series a top scorer with 29 goals in 33 games

4 goals in 6 in Europe

You can't drop that

If he was English you'd be called mad for thinking it

Felix isn't on that level at all so who is coming in

England have been guilty of the same thing though, forcing everything through Beckham or Rooney when their powers were fading. Portugal need to make sure they use the rest of the quality there.

Portugal don't win this and they will end up 2nd or 3rd place in the group. Not sure why, but I want to play Germany in the next round!

I agree with that , from what I'm watching here it's been a sitter missed by Ronaldo but also very very poor deliveries and decision making in the final 3rd that are costing them

Jota shooting instead of an easy lay off , multiple Crosses not beating first man

I think we’d have a good chance against them at Wembley on this showing. Particularly if our fans could bring the same intensity as the Hungarians.

Just don't want to play a hard team in Rome. Think this is the venue of the non-Wembley match.

I think we are too slow ourselves , lack tempo and conviction..pass for the sake of passing .

We aren't much different to this Portugal team

So, so many ex players are the same.
That's why Emma Hayes was such a breath of fresh air yesterday.

I actually didn't think she was that good.

Some of the analysis was decent, but she said some really strange things, and couldn't understand that hitting the post doesn't count as on target.

Touch wood but they seem to use VAR a lot better than in the PL. not taking the tiniest bit of contact as a foul and not spending 25 minutes drawing arbitrary lines.

Why can't the prem do the same then people wouldn't despise it ..I've barely noticed it's a thing here

He might as well have not bothered putting his flag up and let VAR make the decision he was that late.

To be fair mate this is a bit of a myth is it not .

They've won 2 trophies with him in the team

spot on

Portugal could very easily win the whole thing.

They never vary- they look the same whether they’re playing a crap team or a great team- they grind out results and they know how to win. They won Euro 2016 but I don’t think they won a single game in normal time did they?
