Very odd. More to the point, what does that mean for tonight’s lineup? My bet is that Rashford comes in on the right and Foden moves central.

Think we'll see a few changes anyway, Maguire & Henderson will definitely get minutes & I'd expect Bellingham might start in place of Mount.

No real issue with Maguire and Henderson coming in for Mings and Phillips. Might free Rice up to be a bit more box-to-box. My personal preference in front of that would be Sancho on the right, Grealish left and you probably have to stick with Kane up top, although if he’s not producing then DCL should be on at 60. Whether a 10 is played (Foden) or a more withdrawn midfielder (Bellingham) is tricky.

Not sure if the Euros are going by the same ‘close contact’ rules as the NFL, but if they are, then there are explanations for why the Scotland players hugging on the pitch could be OK, whereas a 15 minute conversation in the tunnel wouldn’t be. Good article on it here: The NFL’s Covid-19 Finding That Saved the Season
What about time in the changing rooms ?

What about 15 minutes in the dressing room?

Rumour is tonight will see a midfield quartet of Rice, Phillips, Henderson and Bellingham just to make sure we give the defence a bit of security
Then we'll have Kane and Sterling up top because they work hard and Gareth likes them
Anyone caught being adventurous going forward will immediately be removed from the field of play

I’d like to as have the day off but seems like none of my mates can be arsed with it.

One’s gone fishing, another’s hanging, ones got too much shit to do after work and another two can’t be arsed.

Anyone else finding pubs being quiet as fuck for England games or is it just the Wyken boozers?

Lineker message to Southgate without saying Southgate

He’s saying what the entire football world have been saying we all know what’s needed the manager is a bottle job I wouldn’t want Southgate anywhere near our club never mind England 🤣

I reckon what we should do today is play it on the deck with the defenders, then they can move it to the middle, use the options out wide who can then send it to the full back, they can square it to the centre backs who will be able to feed the middle, we can then really stretch the pitch out wide and bring the full backs into play, they'd have a perfect outlet ball to the defenders then.

Everywhere is buzzing down here, been tough getting bookings. I'm having to go to Weston-super-fucking-Mare to watch this one.

Town has been carnage both games so far from what I’ve seen. Even when it pissed it down the last game.

This one is impossible to call.

I can’t see us coming out all guns blazing, but we *should* win. I’m gonna go for…

England 2 (Sterling 2)
Czech Republic 1 (no idea)

We take the lead earlyish, they equalise midway through the second half, we get the winner after about 75 mins.

That sets up England v Germany at Wembley, the country goes nuts, Germany laugh at how obsessed we are, and we beat them on penalties

… all this based on the fact we haven’t actually started the tournament yet, and it’s gonna click & come together at some point soon

💪
