Can someone explain the handbags thing for me please? Does she have a handbag business or something? Is that how she made her wealth?

She is one of the worlds largest collector of handbags. I think in an article I saw last count she had over 10,000

I do feel a bit for Marosi.
I am starting to worry about the lack of incoming now.
Am hoping the delay is because of a takeover going on! 😁 Ever the optimist!

Also... let’s get this straight. We can’t ‘
announce signings because ‘everyone’s on holiday’ but things are all fine to be selling players?

Not sure anybody has said we can't announce any signings, but yes, players & some staff are on holiday at the moment so can delay things. Doesn't stop transfers being completed but announcements usually come with a photo shoot, so if players away or from outside UK there will be delays in getting things set up. Hamer & DaCosta were signed a few weeks before announcing last year for similar reasons. Depending on where players are coming from there are still certain protocols that need to be followed. Sure at some point we'll have a string of announcements. I'm not sure it really matters in the grand scheme when players are announced other than fans getting restless.

Also, if there are any marquee signings they may want to wait until kit releases are done to capitalise on excitement. Not sure who would qualify for that though. 🤣

Also I can imagine a good chunk of incomings will be loans which is probably contributing to the delay. It often takes PL clubs an age to approve loans as they want to ensure that they are in a position to let them go out.

Sometimes this means waiting until clubs bring in their own targets.

I think Boddy has already said that the club wanted to own more players rather than loaning

I've already pointed out my scepticism regarding his comments in previous posts. Personally, I believe he was being more idealistic rather than literal when saying he wanted us to be less reliant on the loan market.

No doubt it's a target but it's a difficult one at that - especially in the current climate. We'll have to see but I suspect half of our signings will be loans.

A lot of posters are on downers today real negative vibe come on guys always look on the bright side we are back in Coventry for first time in 2 years new pub and in robins the best man to run the team for years and I'm sure signings to come.pusb

We’ve Got no money, it’s all being spent on Sheaf who half of us don’t want, everyone we get linked with that’s half decent goes elsewhere and we haven’t signed anyone when lots of clubs around us have. Unfortunately... it smells lol

Solskjaer has said left back Brandon Williams is available for loan this coming season as he has enough cover in this position. Would snap their arms off and definitely take him!!

Don't know if it's relevant but Williams' agents know MR very well
And they have brought young players to us on loan in the past
They know they'll be given a chance to get plenty of minutes if they're good enough

Might be okay but we do have a youngster Josh Reid similar age to McCallum anyone seen him play
