I think 2 keepers (sarkic and Moore maybe?) , a left back (won’t need two as we can play reid or Dacosta/Burroughs there) , A midfielder (not including sheaf)
Eg jorge grant , A centre back and two strikers (waghorn and someone else) will do
I fail to see why we extended Wilson’s contract if we are signing two goalkeepers - it’s hardly as if he will attract a fee

I guess because the relevant staff have not been working
Deals are done by senior management but press releases and social media is looked after by younger staff further down the ladder
How many deals are already done @betterdays?

Don't know
But the management team are on a similar wavelength to the more sensible contributors on here as to where we need to strengthen
I'd guess some deals have been done with others in the works
That's good looking forward to stabilizing our position in the championship with a few decent additions to the squad

Imagine that eh? Senior management at the club knowing where we need to strengthen and do something about it!

Its almost as if some on here think the Senior Management just sit on their backsides doing nothing!

I don’t claim to be ‘in the know’ but I’m confident we have a few signings already agreed and a couple more lined up. The mass panic just because Luton have signed a few is ridiculous
I don't think it's a mass panic, fans like to see a glut of new signings at this time of season and are perhaps frustrated that it hasn't happened yet

But the fact we haven't made a single announcement suggests there is more likely to be a glut of new signings now, especially if we already have several over the line.

It is easy to look across at Luton and these other clubs who have signed in my opinion quantity over quality but we have people who know what they are doing. Each season we have got better.

Luton who appear to have the same transfer policy we had 10-15 years ago.

I’ve said before the first pre-season game isn’t until the 10th. If we haven’t got anyone in before then - then I’d be slightly concerned

Luton whatever their transfer policy is have been highly successful over the last decade

Oh and they actually seem to really be building a new ground rather than playing pretend

So if we had signed the dross that Luton have you'd be happy? ;)

Better to get players in at the start of pre-season, give us a chance to play as a team rather than a collection of strangers.

Anyway, looking forward to who we decide is our LWB and GK.

Not if they are worse players than what you already have, which is what the majority of the players Luton have signed are

I’m not saying it isn’t successful for them. I’d honestly only have 2 of their new signings at a push. Lansbury and Bell, the latter because we don’t have a left back. We have a specific player we look for, I’m under no illusions that, we’re in a smaller market and we’ll more often than not be blown out the water.

That collection will only get closer and better with match experience, hence the 10th July. Plenty of time to sign new players and get closer as a squad

Do you disagree that it's better to get players in early, so that they play as a team from the off rather than a collection of strangers? Simple yes or no will do :)

The Ranson days still stick in my memory, where we didn't even get the current squad to sign contracts until the last minute, to save a bit of cash.

To be clear, I'm not worried yet... but it's self evident that if you sign your players the day before the season kicks off, they won't have the same togetherness as a squad that's had all of pre-season with one another.

And what we've done quite well in recent times is making sure that happens.

No, you get the right players in, no matter who or how many come in in June they don’t meet as a group until early July.

In an ideal world of course it is but if the players arent available or not of the quality we need to improve the squad then there is no point getting bodies in for the sake of it

The club will be doing it to save money by delaying the contract signing in all probability

You'd be mad not to have taken Reece Burke
