And now breeeeaathe

Perhaps be a little more judicious in your choice of Southgate put-downs and you might not end up looking daft 👍

The only thing pissing me off at the moment is yourself. Why not go make digs at the many other posters commenting on that game up till we scored.

All the put-downs are around 'England are boring to watch'. That's it. Attacking football does not have to be gung ho every man for himself, that has never been the demand

Before you signed up to this place I explained in a fair bit of detail the issues I have with how Southgate set us up, wanting us to play to our strengths especially against weaker sides and so on. There's countless people here who were bored stiff watching us for most of that game and the 3 before, you don't go after any of them.

As it turns out there is more than one way to win a game of football. But it's the same as on the CCFC match threads, 'you hate it when we win', 'you want us to play 10 strikers LOL' blah blah blah. It isn't clever, it's just being a total cock

no mate, your constant negativity (and others) is draining, to try and make out your match thread contribution is constructive is a joke, just a constant stream of negative piss.
If that's what you want to do then carry on but don't be surprised when people react to it.

I know , I enjoyed the last 20 minutes , when we decided to play football and scored 2 goals

We had 3 shots until the 70th minute , what was enjoyable up until that point may I ask

We were solid, better in possession but had no cutting edge. I actually thought it was an absorbing game, but I was pretty biased :)

This chestnut again.

We were pretty dire to watch up until the 70th , we can't get around that fact .

Slow , mundane , not getting the right players involved . 3 shots up to that point .

The pundits were saying basically the same thing too
Just because we won doesn't mean we can't critique the overall performance .
We won so he got it right but my god it was terribly dull up until grealish came on

I was pretty frustrated with what I was watching .

Grealish changed the game

You do realise I have repeatedly said he shat himself when he got to the finals. All I said is that before that the team was fun to watch

No you have not only said that!

Its been f*cking non stop. Unending, unfunny dreary negativity & complaining

But hey ho, no offence intended

Can't disagree with that, and I was thinking maybe he'll start next game as neither Sweden nor Ukraine will likely come at us all guns blazing, so we might need to be more adventurous. Then revert back to the team that started tonight for the harder games (and I'm not suggesting the next game is easy). But I'm no tactical genius

But we win the tournament that way then fair enough..Happy days

What if we don't win it playing like that though ? Isn't that kind of the point

Well no I don't think so personally- aim to win, play to win, the rest is secondary

Pickford deserves some credit - never been a fan myself - but kept well.
Do like Phillips - think he brings something extra to that midfield.
I really didn't rate him when he first came into the England set-up, but he has totally won me over. He was fantastic today I thought
