Southgate is easily the best option and the best manager we’ve had since Robson

I’ve always like him. This is not a ‘I told you so’ post at all. His experiences as a player, in international management and with the senior team so far, have served him well to date.

We’ve gone for ‘world class’ managers who have done well in qualifiers and friendlies, but failed to deliver when it matters.

Beating Germany is HUGE psychologically and we really ought to get to a final this time around.

In all the excitement me and a mate bought two ticks for QF and then realised its 5 days quarantine in Italy so couldn’t make the game.

He consistently makes decisions that raise my eyebrows. But, then again, who am I? In the grand scheme of things, I’m a nobody who’s football opinion means very little.
