Really? I'd recommend you have a look at their forum. Whilst they hold him in high regard, most are of the opinion that his level is top end League One which essentially is what we had in Marosi.

Thanks for the tip!

Maybe I’m reading tea leaves here mate, but we started the summer being linked to the kind of player we’ve always gone for under Robins: young, potential, up and coming, good stats.
I'd always thought the 'plan' for a keeper was a wiser older head?

If (if!) Bilson is any good, then giving him a couple of years to go out on loan and improve could work, and we'd already have the replacement at the club.

Calm down and be patient

MR and DB have been on holiday for two weeks. Pre season testing just being completed and training in earnest doesn't start until next week

Next 10 days are key to the recruitment process plus any Premier League loans will not happen until early August

Some of the comments on the forum remind me of listening to an idiot at work last week slagging off Southgate and his selections ahead of the Germany game. In this geniuses' view Kane shouldn't have played and we need a new manager
He didn't change his opinion even after the 2 0 win
Naturally he only ever watches games on TV
Our management team have done well in difficult circumstances and will hold their nerve

Hes 31 and for a keeper hes still got a few good seasons ahead of him, can't slate the guy before he even signs...

Few on here that could write their football knowledge on a stamp.

The Bloke is a good keeper, you will be hard pressed to find a Sheff Utd fan who thinks he's shit. And these are the people that watched the bloke week in week out. No shame in being kept out of a starting 11 by Ramsdale and Henderson is it?

He's an Improvement on Both Wilson and Marosi, and will be a good teacher for Billson and Tyler.

We've clearly abandoned playing out from the back (rightfully) and this bloke claims crosses and gets rid. That's what we need.

I'm sure he will be solid

First 3 signings of consolidating our place in the Championship are Sheaf, Moore and Waghorn

I have a feeling we could be confirming one or two today who've been mentioned fairly extensively in recent days
Wouldn't be surprised to see McCallum back at some point later too
Doesn't look so good for Mason, Jobello or Hillsner who I suspect won't be involved with the first team in pre season
McCallum coming back then? Be very happy with that!

Tbf i was of that thought a few days back but then i realised. What were we crying out for last year? Experience.

Seems MR has clocked this too and to get 2 or 3 in that have a few years under their belts isnt a bad thing.

As long as the ST,CB and AM positions are of good quality its decent

No one has said he's shit? Virtue signalling by gushing over Robins' every signing isn't a great look, and claiming the football knowledge of others is crap neither automatically qualifies you as the fountain of knowledge.

Also, why would Moore be any better of a teacher for Bilson and Tyler? He's played roughly 20 more games than Marosi over the course of his career?

Beat me to it.

MR, AV and the rest of the backroom team are not idiots. I swear some fans think they just sit around an office playing poker in the off season rather than planning for next season.

They're not going to let Marosi go unless we think this guy is better.
As for what SUFC fans are saying - I think this forum us proof that fans generally have no idea. Opinions yes, but often wrong on a number of things like team selection, transfers, behind the scenes goings on etc.
One poster on here saying MR doesn't really care about the GK position (or words to that affect) - nonsense! Of course he does. A bad keeper can cost you 10-15 points per season. Do they seriously think MR would be happy with that?

People need to seriously calm down. I 100% confident that the squad for next season will be better than last season. Total faith in a manager and backroom team who've got us promoted twice in 3 seasons and won us a cup at Wembley. They've earnt any leeway.

Granted you have to take fan opinions with a pinch of salt, but to disregard them altogether is sheer idiocy.

The same group of fans who follow that trail of thought also forced themselves to believe Bakayoko and Kastaneer were going to turn out to be great signings, despite the fact the fans of their former clubs being gobsmacked we'd paid a fee for them.

Would be concerned for Sam Mc’s Norwich prospects if that was the case, doesn’t seem much of a plan for him. Send him back to the club we bought him from again

Let him run his contract down, and we sign him for less than they paid for him - everyone's a winner... apart from Norwich anyway.

Not inspiring, but it is a keeper, so who would be? A young up and coming high potential keeper would be snapped up by bigger teams with higher wages, or we would end up with a loan, which isn't as preferable as owning the player.

His lack of recent game time is certainly a concern, but hopefully a good pre-season will remove any rustiness and get him match sharp again.

Solid signing, an upgrade on Wilson, and you would expect Marosi too. Looking forward to seeing what he offers.

There doesn't seem much of a plan for him at Norwich anyway does there? Haven't they currently got three or four LB's ahead of him?

Really? Wilson was the worst keeper we’ve had in years, how many points did he cost us last season?

This idea that we can bring in any one player (let alone a keeper) who is going to single-handedly get us an extra 15 points next year is fantasy.

What about Kastaneer? Is he even back for pre-season training?

But how many of those links were true though

We need more experience this season and we can't afford top quality league players (like we could in league one) so we have to go for solid championship players, not as exciting of course but will allow us to progress as a club

Moore actually in game time isn’t experienced - Burge is more experienced
