Southgate has the players/squad and we will surely make the final. Italy (assuming they beat Spain) will be epic. Well done Gareth ( even if I want to see more of Grealish and Foden) Ukraine look shattered. Feel sorry for them with what their nation has been through.

Playing sancho from nowhere is a master stroke as is keeping confidence in Kane

Some of the naysayers need to admit Southgate has something

He’s the only England manager ever to get to the semis of every tournament he’s been in (aside from venables but he only had one)

In general though, this second half has been incredibly positive from all angles, the pressing , the attacking , the subs .

Very pleased

Southgate bang on against ze Germans and bang on tonight 🤷‍♂️ hard to argue that well done
Don't forget to include the capitulation.

I didn't think too much of Denmark today , and England SHOULD beat them , let's hope the moment don't get to the players

It will be a very different game to this one for sure

Mentality/ bottle will count for a lot.

Southgate has killed so many demons so far but the one thing he hasn’t got rid of is choking in the biggest matches, eg we did against Croatia in 2018. We’ll really see how far we’ve come on Wednesday.

Feel for Ukraine but hopefully just making the quarters is enough for them.

Not intending to be contentious - I’ve not seen much of Sancho, but the bits I have, not sure I get the hype?

Sure it’s all warranted, I was just expecting more.

Their defence spectacularly capitulated for the last three goals.

That’s because they were knackered and done in after being totally and utterly outplayed. We smothered the life out of them and they had nothing left, they didn’t give up.

It’s funny because going into the tournament the defence was a concern and the attack was our strength but it’s been the other way round, apart from tonight of course

If we play Italy in the final (should that happen ) I'm a bit concerned about them overloading our half with numbers and pace , if we can contain that then who knows but they move the ball incredibly quick in the opposition half we would have to get it bang on to win
