Spain are like a lightweight boxer landing plenty of jabs, but Italy are a heavyweight boxer- can’t get near the other guy but not really feeling any pain either

Spain are a bit like France in 98, good side with diabolical centre forward. If they had David Villa about, they'd walk this tournament.

I'm not keen on playing either of these lol , but we have to 😪

It’s very hard to read so far- the thing that sticks out is how fast Spain are, they’d give us problems alright if we tried the “sitting back” gameplan

Assuming we win tomorrow of course

I dunno, I feel like taking all the Real Madrid players away has taken some of the steel from them. Every team they've played has been able to get at them.

The Italians are embarrassing the way they throw themselves to the floor it’s like a team of neymars. Gives the sport a bad name - they should make video compilations for each of the offenders and send them to their wives and families. Pathetic

The number of great chances they create though, where the centre forward manages to stand on the ball or something, is ridiculous. If Kane had that service he'd get them a dozen goals.

It's because they are just a team of attacking midfielders. If you had a good striker on they wouldn't be creating a much because somebody would be trying to get on the end of it all.

As things stand unless Italy can seriously rouse themselves Spain are going to beat them- too fast, too accurate, too much movement

Can't understand why the commentators are surprised Morata's been dropped, he's been awful this tournament.

Italy struggling , let's see what they've got

Seem to be trying to play long and it's just not working

I agree but you still need a striker. Their football culture is so obsessed with creating tidy attacking midfielders with beautiful technique who can work it in tight areas they forget you need other things too. It's not 2008 anymore and I don't think they realise that quite.

Not so sure I want Spain to win any more 😁

They are totally outclassing Italy here

Although whoever said about them being a bit lightweight was right, that might be the way to get at them, there is no steel in their side.

Don’t want Spain to win this now…sooner or later they have to take the chances they get. Just our luck they would save a goal fest to the final

Italy have had 0 shots ... I'm not sure why they've totally abandoned their playstyle to play long and hopeful

And immobile is totally isolated
