See, I like that one

Nice thought actual with the cov crest in the middle. I remember the Isuzu sponsor kit that had the badge in the middle... PUSB

Edit: this one

There’s maybe a touch too much navy on this but otherwise I think this is a great kit. Helps that Subaru is a classy sponsor.

Of the in house shirts, this was my favourite, shame the badge is so tiny on it though

Kapowaz do u know who the top was made by at all, can't remember..PUSB

For I think 4 seasons between 1999 and 2003 our kit was our own brand - the label inside said something like ‘Official CCFC Garment’. Given how most branded kits are made in a variety of factories in SE Asia it’s likely it’s the same place that made previous Coventry kits, just withoutan intermediary.

Information about the KIT@ brand is hard to find (it’a a difficult term to Google for) but I know other clubs had kits from them around that time too, so I think they’re unrelated to the in-house brand.

I might be misremembering things entirely but didn't few teams start with Kit@ then change to Puma within a year or so? I have a feeling that whatever company it was got a license to use Puma branding rather than it being direct Puma partnership. Our Nike deal was similar I think, for the first few seasons the toddler kits and training stuff was Avec.

Really not keen on the arrangement of badge above Hummel, and then the giant sponsor logo. The pattern in the shirt is ok, but otherwise it’s kind of bland?

The patterns on the shirt make it look like the badge is off centre

So, Nike’s Teamwear setup in the UK is definitely through another company which also supplied stuff under the Avec brand — Just Sport Group.

As for the story with Puma / KIT@ / CCFC Merchandise, I’d not heard that before, although it is intriguing. If you look at the dates of the three clubs that wore KIT@ kits (Coventry, Watford and Reading), of those Watford used KIT@ for the longest (from 2001-2005), Reading used them from 2001-2004 whereas we used them from 2004-2006. By the time we switched to Puma, Reading had already been using Puma for 2 seasons, whereas Watford switched to Diadora from 2005 onwards. Also, neither Watford nor Reading were using a no-brand kit manufacturer before KIT@ (they were with Le Coq Sportif and Mizuno respectively).

If I were to guess, I’d say the manufacturer that ended up calling themselves KIT@ started out as a no-brand manufacturer, then eventually expanded to the three clubs briefly, before losing the contract to different rivals (Puma and Diadora) at different points.

I've heard from good authority that the kit this year is sky blue, with a slightly darker picture of a Phoenix rising from the ashes up the front..
Didn't some bloke post an image then panic like fuck trying to delete it? Asking for mods help and all sorts. Pretty sure I remember him mentioning a phoenix although he'd removed the image before I could see it.

I'm not sure tbh. I've just looked back and seen it mentioned, but been told it is true and there is a Phoenix on the front.
