Who is left to go? (7 Viewers)

So we can safely assume Mason, Hillsner and Jobello, as they've been left off the tour.

Allen seems to be generating interest from L1 also a few murmurings of Pask having some interest

Anyone think we will see any surprises out the door?

Some fans want Mason in their 11 to start the season

It's a shame that he's fallen down the pecking order so drastically. Started the L1 title winning campaign really well but ended last season failing to even make the squad for St Mirren more often than not.
I can't see a future for him here at all.

Think it will be really difficult to move contracted players on. The club may need to get creative with other clubs.

Although I think all first team players are not openly for sale I think we’re lucky that none of them will be wanted by premier teams or top championship ones

Ohare and Hamer being the two obvious exceptions.

Any of the peripheral squad are available to be moved on I’m sure so that would be

The 5 mentioned plus probably

Shipley

But anyone not in the first 11 are likely to be moved on if there’s interest to try and further improve the first team.

Could be interesting if clubs had some money but I think there’s very few clubs about who’d be interested in league 1 apart from the obvious few ipswich and Sunderland

I quite like him as well, it's a testament to our progress really as he'd have strolled in to our L1 teams of old, possibly even some Championship ones. Hope he can get a decent move as seems a decent lad.

Robins will undoubtedly try and find permanent or loan moves for Jobello, Hillsner, Mason and possibly Allen. Drysdale may be loaned out again but I suspect that won't happen unless we have a CB or two over the line first.

However, other than that I can't see any other departures unless we happen to receive significant bids for O'Hare and Hamer.

We can't expect a complete re-haul of the fringe players though. It's just not realistic from a time or cost perspective.

Good news, another wage off the books. Would you assume for the others that haven't gone on the tour that aint injured or ill?
Some are ill (their identities must stay private for obvious reasons) and some in the bomb squad
Kasta gas already gone and I guess attempts are being made to move others on
This needs to be done sensibly so we don't get our pants taken down

Drysdale is the same age as Ostigard, and now has more experience in English leagues than Ostigard had at this time last year, so he needs to be pushing for a start now if he's going to be a player worth keeping.

I'm not sure it works like that as every player is different.

League 2 to the Championship is a massive step up. Whilst Drysdale performed very well at Cambridge his loan spell at Gillingham didn't go quite so well. Therefore I feel needs another crack at League One before the notion of him featuring for us on a consistent basis is even entertained.

Forgot about Drysdale. He looked alright. Maybe as 5th choice cb if we play a 3

If like hilsner to get s proper crack st it but trust whatever Mark robins decides

I wonder what happened with Kasta, whether we paid up his contract of most of it. I suspect he must have had the new club already lined up.

You are probably right but maybe COVID related as both Mason and Hillsner were involved in pre-Spain training, as was O'Hare.
I am not sure Allen will go unless someone is willing to pay a reasonable sum. Robins has indicated that he likes his attitude when not in the first 11. Allen was one of those clearly playing fitness catch-up at the start of the season, and I think this knocked his confidence. I see him as a back up for O'Hare, whereas Bright is a very different player.

Have they been left off the tour? O’Hare isn’t out there either. We have some senior players with COVID just before the tour it would be reasonable to assume Mason and Hillsner could be those players given they were part of the training in the first instance. Given we now have Bright signed it wouldn’t surprise me to see us play 4231 that could mean Mason will stay?

Still think we’ll lose one of O’Hare and Hamer, but I’m a miserable bugger like that.

You'd like to hope we've protected ourselves with these two, like release clauses etc.

Need to start learning from sales like Maddison and Wilson. (I know we probably needed cash desperately at the time, but hopefully now we can be more savvy)

Them two will have to have great seasons where they’re amongst the divisions best for clubs to put down serious money. They’re not young prospects clubs will need them to make an immediate impact, O’Hare is 23 and Hamer is 24

If O’Hare can play like his second half of the season and Hamer like his first, I’d say they’re not far off.

He’s plucky, Mason. He is a good 1v1 defender but does leave us susceptible to the long diagonal. I remember a few games where the striker would peel off and sit on Mason and kill us with knock downs
