I agree, said a similar thing only a couple of weeks back, but was shot down by the know all's.

I'm getting ready to be told that I'm enjoying this as it proved me right about us being shite, but I'm not, I'm just hoping it's all going to be OK come the Big KO!

This should certainly get rid of any complacency and expectations of L1 being a cakewalk: hopefully it will act as a wake up call. Rather now than the Yeovil game. Many will hope to the board, others to the players: for me, I hope to everyone around the club. The clubs that go straight back up after Championship relegation are few and far between, and L1 minnows just love wiping the arrogance out of us so-called "big clubs".

Bloody hell, I thought things were gonna brighten up once we got back to talking about football again.. :( :( :(

Mind you a few weeks ago NLHWC said that Fleck was going to be our best player by a country mile.

however, it is all relative, he may very well be!

Based on potential...does anyone know what that word means? Sadly, Fleck could easily be one of those players who had great potential: if he was fulfilling it, he wouldn't be at CCFC now.

this was my list of things i could see Thorn saying tonight

:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

ok, but thorne should just bendover and offer his ass for us to kick. I could go to madam fifi's and be humiliated like this and its cheaper, so ive heard.

And the last word on "these players have played at Championship level, so they are good enough for L1": WHERE DID PRESTON AND SCUNTHORPE FINISH LAST SEASON?

You never mentioned potential, said he would be our best player by a country mile and too good for League One.

You love your bold sweeping statements, just don't like them brought back to you when they prove to be just hot air.

Ok I admit, I lost it a little there. I'm fearful for this season, I've been bottling it up, trying to be optermistic and not allowing my worries to get in the way. That game got me scared shitless. I'm gonna have to put it back in its box because it is just a friendly. I do wander though how long before 'just a friendly' won't be a viable excuse anymore.

Our next one is Saturday I believe. While its still a friendly, I would expect an improvement and a positive responce from the players. Thorn needs to put the fear of God in them because nothing else will do. If he shouts at them, then good because they deserve it. I am hoping he'll offer Cazarine a contract though. He scored and if they can get him the service he deserves then he could score more.

But we do need to find another goal scorer. A proven goal scorer with a little magic in him. I know people have said we can't afford it but I'd hope Thorn would now realise its very very important to find someone of a good quality or I'm afraid all i can predict is same old same old. I'm going to continue to hope and be optermistic but my fear will always be there under the surface. It's made itself known again :(

Have either if them changed the manager recently to try and remedy the decline?

I pulled out of this trip last minute, after watching the debacle at Nuneaton, I thought I can't sit through anymore rubbish so glad I didn't go.
We are shite, and for that reason "Thorn Out"

None of us are enjoying us, but I prefer to live in the real world and tell things like I see it, I can't understand where all this optimism has come from. Like you say, it MAY act as a wake up call and I hope they can buck up their ideas in time.

I said he's a potential £25m player, would be our best player and worth 4-7m by the end of the season. He is incredibly gifted. He wasn't ready last season. You'll see. Now sweeeeeep off!

Kevin Thornton has played more championship games than Cody and Deegan so must b good enough for league one

Thornton when he actually played for us was miles better than either IMO. Didn't last long. He had potential too..

I've walked 18 miles across Surrey today to learn we've lost a 4th friendly on the trot? Cheers City.

Jesus, is it that backwards down your way that you have to walk 18 miles to reach the nearest internet access?

I don't know much about those sides but did they finish low in the table because
A) They were poor players
or
B) They were poorly managed by who ever was in charge

If we fail this season the coaching staff and management team will have to take the blame, it is a million miles away from last season where about about a 1/4 of the squad had never played a game at championship or higher level and some never having played a first team game at any level

Fleck is a potential £25million player now?

Brilliant, well done! People keep slapping me with the claim that Gael is a potential 25m player. How you managed to read that as me saying it about Fleck, I really don't know...

A little of A), a little of B), and a huge dose of culture shock.

We were talking about you saying a few weeks ago that Fleck would be our best player by a country mile, and far too good for League One, though now saying how right you were that he's not very good.

You then start banging on about Bigi again apparently and "potential" and £25million.

Can add comprehension and context to your list of weaknesses then.

Oh, FLECK: I assumed you were still rolling with your obsession about my Gael evaluation. We were talking about different things-I misinterpreted your snarky comment.

Well yes, I still hope that about Fleck. In general, my excitement was based on us signing such a rated prospect. Now I'm starting to see how he ended up here..but hope he does the business when the games start.

What do you think? Have you seen him much since he signed?

Oh and piss of with the sad little insults, will you? You are the one who can't read :jerkit:

Haha, shows how crap my memory is.

Also, wikipedia says it was 9mil - but i'm sticking with 12.*

*Ok i've been googling, it was £9mil. Bet it's still the record though!

Can read, and have a memory span longer than a goldfish, which puts me ahead of you at the very least.

Haven't seen anything of Fleck, so not made any judgements either way.

Why should i need to? They're so memorably stupid they're difficult to forget.

Less of the wanker sign as well.

It does show when people have visited a profile, y'know..

As for the sign-if the sign is available to use...what do you expect? You just come looking for a fight all the time and have a high and mighty attitude. You think you are really smart. You don't want to debate, you just want to wind people up and illustrate how much better than everyone else you think you are, when you are just another sad man at a keyboard.

Sorry, it's the best smiley available!
