Irony meter has just broken
Bet you can't wait to be sucking on the tit of Bill and Jeff.
I know you aren’t but sounds awfully patronising and if I’m honest a little removed from the seriousness of this.
Ive not been furloughed at all but I have worked from home however even in complete lockdown I was volunteering as an nhs responder.
Of course you wouldn’t list the 5 a side lot but would you ask people you lived with????
There’s degrees of risk and close contact is close contact not passing people in the street.
As I say those personally affected with friend or family deaths or serious illness see things differently to those that haven’t
Great saying the end of apartheid was the worst thing to happen to South Africa is an awful awful thing but fill your bootsMy mum is an immigrant.

Those going to hospital now who chose not to get the protection offered (excluding those who were not allowed to accept one for medical reasons) are frankly lucky to be given treatment.
worst thing to happen to SA was the ending of apartheid (not my words, btw).
I thought it was?
Yep I am but generalisations are generally true. Luckily we don’t live in a country where freedom of conscience is met with a blanket yes or no and certainly in terms of getting emergency treatment I’m glad I do. I now know people who have been poorly with Covid having been double jabbed. So it’s not just unjabbed peopleYou are making some quite large assumptions with that last point. The state’s delivery of full vaccination in record time to the group suffering 99% of hospitalisations with a booster programme to come is it meeting its commitment to safeguard these people.

Only if you're contacted by Test and Trace. You can't mandate isolation off the back of you voluntarily downloading an app.

It isn't removed from anything, it is the reality of it that I am trying to get across.
People aren't sat listing everybody they can think of to Track and Trace. It doesn't happen.
There is a degree of risk about everything though isn't there?
Great saying the end of apartheid was the worst thing to happen to South Africa is an awful awful thing but fill your boots
People are though or nobody would have ever been contacted.
Oh yeah people will be, especially with the app.
Snitches get stitches though.

I agree wholeheartedly with the sentiment which is why I’m so cross we are risking that and not being clear about what opening up means. And then when it happens just as Whitty says it would we all shout at him or others being cautious that we want to lockdown forever.
I think we largely agree and I’m so pleased you have no limits on numbers for your wedding and I hope it’s brilliant
So stop saying it doesn’t happen then m8
That basically where I got to months ago. If you are that much of a flat earth thick c**t that you refuse to have the vaccine you can swivel.
Same with the ‘I’d rather resign from my care home job than get vaccinated’ as some have said. Fine, the residents are probably better off you not being there
You make your point, as always, very well and I see things slightly differently that’s allIt isn't removed from anything, it is the reality of it that I am trying to get across.

I am saying it doesn't happen like Pete is indicating, it isn't as simplistic as that.

The people I know who’ve been contacted have taken it seriously, not overly so of course a close contact is someone you’ve been close to like a member of the family
And yep completely agree about risk I’ve been battling thinking about this for yonks
I firmly believe we are at the stage of lowest risk but with the numbers of infections it’s crazy to not mandate some things
That’s all I’m saying. Also isolating needs looking at ASAP
None I know do and they are mainly whiteSouth Africans I work with, of all races have said that. I'll be honest, I dont know but I'll take the words of many people who lived it every day for years.
I’m listing you as a close contact if I get pinged.
Imagine Nick. And his address? I don’t know and his surname I don’t know.I’m listing you as a close contact if I get pinged.
Millions haveTo be fair, if people were taking it overly seriously they would have the app installed.
Millions have
Yeah and someone that had it and had been double jabbed. The risk has to be so small as to say fuck it I’m out and proudI know, don't get me wrong I am not saying it's a conspiracy and nobody takes it seriously.
It would be interesting to see how many people uninstalled it after the first time they got told to isolate too.
Yeah exactly, “In a bit then dickhead”
My ex’s mate got pinged because the next door neighbour, who she didn’t even see, got Covid. Pinged through the wall.
The risk has to be so small as to say fuck it I’m out and proud
