This part. I may have misheard some parts but the minutes will be out soon
Fan led review - governance of football. Tracy crouch talking to supporters groups to understand failures of governance and make sure a supporters voice is heard. One of the board members gave evidence and is writing up the written evidence. Trust Survey run in may.
Roger Ellis on the call from FSA not the trust
Consistent replies from all clubs - radical change is required. Initial findings will be published this week or at least shared with the Secretary of State.
He is One of three people writing the fsa evidence. They’ve had a good hearing
Independent regulator
Stronger control over owners
Stronger financial requirements
How this will relate into legislation and how this is delivered is the challenge
If they are adopted there will be quite a challenge to supporters trust and there will be a requirement for them to exercise them. Topically for coventry - majored on location of ground
Trust to have the right to veto moving clubs away from their city. Able to exercise that responsibility responsibly. Challenge for trusts to become more professional
Grounds is only one of the areas. Hoping for some money to be able to train trusts
I then asked about the steps to unite the various groups
Roger Elllis added in a sort of the power of responsibilities will lie with trusts
Control over the most important aspects of the responsibilities
That’s because they have a Formal constitution and members are democratically elected. Supporters clubs and other groups are In every locality there is more than one football group so that the trust is as representative of all groups.
Part of the challenge is to get more supporters involved in the trust.
Where the club plays
Name
Colours
Badge
Annual budget
Capital assets
To be fair I can only see issues with some owners saying thanks but no thanks and that might cause bigger issues for clubs like ours but who knows
my comment here
Uniting the groups will be key so that the supporters feel that they are well represented in these conversations. I do fear this may be quite a problem if legislation does come out giving power to the sky blues trust if some of this unifying doesn’t take place or swathes of the fan base have moved on and see no relevance in the trust
As I say these are my notes not minutes

Good god... Why would the Trust automatically be granted this power? Because they're the ones affiliated with the FSA?
If so we need to move heaven & earth to change that.
Didn't Ellis get booted from the trust due to this
Rochdale grooming scandal report: Ex-council boss told to give back £76k golden handshake
Roger Ellis left his post as chief executive of Rochdale council in April last year, just weeks before a gang of men were jailed for exploiting vulnerable teenage girls for sex.www.google.com
If so he shouldn't be representing our club in anything

He carried in for a while to be fair. CJ wasn’t sure if it was the same Roger Ellis
He doesn’t he’s on the fsa nothing to do with the trustI am baffled as to how Mr Ellis still holds a position

I really don’t think it will be as easy as they think
I can’t see how it would work
I get the FSA have affiliated trusts and the trusts are set to and accountable etc.
Worth keeping an eye out

Mmmmm interestingMr Ellis is down as representing Sky Blues Trust here - it would seem up to date as it has us as a Championship club
Board and National Council - Football Supporters' Association
The FSA's structure features a National Council which embeds within it fan representatives from clubs at Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two, and National Game (non-league) level. Six individual fans are also elected and, in addition to this, supporter-owned clubs have their...thefsa.org.uk
My fear. We need to be a unified voice which is somewhat happening in the supporters forumWhat's to stop someone starting a new trust that represents CCFC fans? I think most would agree the current trust is not necessarily representative of CCFC fans, so why would they be able to have any power when not accepted by most fans?
Realistically they'd have to fundamentally change how the FSA and supporters trusts work.
They won’t be if Roger Ellis is correct about how the restructure of the game is going to goJust ignore them. They’re an irreverence.
They're fantasists. They won’t be if Roger Ellis is correct about how the restructure of the game is going to go
FSA?They're fantasists.
YesFSA?
Good meeting to be fair lots of good people who want ccfc to succeed. Lots of positive things going on. I really do think the supporters forum is the group that fsa should work with though.
The problem is that any dissenting voices have been in the past ridiculed and slapped down. Therefore not getting the platform to be in a position to be elected.Yeah the independent fans group designed to act as a balance to the owners should be the hand picked group run by the owners. Makes sense.
I know I’ll get pelters for this, but if the majority of fans wanted new leadership at the Trust, it’s a democratic organisation by law and they could get it. Your problem is organisation and motivation not the national structure for fan representation. Let’s be blunt we’ve seen exactly how many people are willing to put their money where their mouth is.
