The tories are fucking idiots for accepting the deal anyway ..

But with all due respect to the European Union, Northern Ireland is British and we should protect our interests
Hang on Johnson won the General election and is Prime Minister based in that deal. It was oven ready don't you know and got Brexit done.

Apparently those that voted for Brexit and Johnson knew what they were voting for. Just seems that he didn't.

But hey doesn't matter cos he understands the working man apparently.

For reference .

I made a perfectly valid point that article 16 was a part of the deal negotiated .

I was then told I basically didn't know what it means.. so ofcourse you think I'm a div , il speak to you like a div

I never said you didn't understand it, I said I'm not sure invoking it and pissing off our biggest trading partner is a good idea.

Let's not forget, the PM stood in front of the people of NI and assured them this wouldn't happen, that's really who the anger should be directed toward.

I'm not well educated. And Im not sure what it has to do with anything anyway.
I'm not sure what your angle is here, do you not expect people to discuss something as important as what's currently going on in NI?

Or doy ou just expect people to pretend it's going well when it clearly isn't?

It's the constant digging at people , don't play dumb because you're not , and you're certainly not blind either

M&S saying sandwiches needing three veterinary certificates to get through ?! And entire loads being turned away due to ink colour ? I mean, come on, whichever side of the argument your on that’s just ridiculous. We’re not talking about joe bloggs shitty sandwich maker.

Also I read earlier in the year 20% of all eu border checks were taking place in NI. Again this just feels disproportionate?

I’m not trying to justify the protocol, which alone brings plenty of challenges but the implementation of the rules appears to be causing totally unnecessary additional issues. A few weeks back both sides were making positive noises about tweaking things to make it a lot smoother. Not sure what happened but you’d hope a solution can be found

Were you a leaver, Steve?

You don’t have to answer if it’s personal

Nah fuck it , not arsed .

The well educated voted remain .

The thickos voted leave .

Please be another referendum I'd love nothing more than to give the whinging middle class what they want.

The word No doesn't sit right with them

You can call Cummings, Farage & Gove many things but “thick” isn’t one of them

Not sure “middle class” describes them too well either

Actually one of the only things I've read up on to be fair 🤣

So yes surprisingly I do .

But you try put me down more Tony yea , you middle class snob
So you’ll know it’s not a fix all, it’s only to be used as a temporary measure until a permanent solution is found. In other words it isn’t a solution at all, it’s a mechanism to kick the can down the road.

I dont mind, it’s all on the brexit thread anyway. Yeah, a borderline one, as in it was a toss up right up the the vote

I did my own research though and had my own reasons. Might sound strange but on a personal level it probably wasn’t the right way to vote. I’ve mentioned on the Brexit thread before I was the only one out of my close group of mates that did, well that admitted it...I have my suspicions though ! I also still have the odd argument with my brother about it, he’s still not forgiven me 😂

I’ve got to be honest I didn’t expect it to lead to the political paralysis, general elections etc etc and for us to still not having resolved the basics by now but I guess it was never going to be straight forward.

My boss voted for the very first time in a GE at the last GE and voted Tory. Not because he’s a brexiteer, the only other time he’s voted was in the referendum and he voted remain. He voted Tory because he brought the get Brexit done slogan and saw it as an inconvenience that he wanted to get out the way. That learned him.

You don’t have to justify your choice to anyone, let alone me 👍 was just wondering, with most people it’s pretty obvious!

I voted leave to get rid of all the brown people round where I live (except the ones who drive the Ubers and deliver my parcels and work in the shop until midnight so I can get my cans and the ones who make that lovely spicy food and the ones who looked after my gran when she was poorly)

They're still here. All of the brown people who drive the Ubers and deliver my parcels and work in the shop until midnight so I can get my cans and the ones who make that lovely spicy food and the ones who looked after my gran when she was poorly.

I feel let down by Nigel and his crew.

Im like the inverse of you. Only Remainer in my group of friends, borderline until right before the vote.

Big brain centrists represent!

20% of all EU border checks in NI is unsurprising due to the fairly unique circumstances there.

I didn’t take it that way. We might not agree on some things, okay, most things but you don’t get personal so no offence is taken. Nothing wrong in expressing with passion.

You'd be surprised with just how much we do agree on I reckon
