But while he couldn’t disguise his disappointment at his side’s performance, Sky Blues boss Andy Thorn declared: “It’s better we go through this now than when the season starts for real"

“You don’t really learn too much when you’re beating teams 5-0 or 8-0 but Wrexham are a battle-hardened side; we knew they would give us a real test which is why I wanted to play them and it’s proved that we’ve got a hell of lot of work to do in all departments.
“We certainly can’t afford to defend like that and expect to come away with a result from any game.
“I know it’s a new back four but it’s still difficult to explain because that was nothing like I see in training every day so we’ve got.
“We’ve got to get that right first and foremost so we’ve got two weeks or really hard graft ahead of us.”
Thorn has still to decide whether to offer Cazarine a contract, explaining: “I had planned to give him 45 minutes but I couldn’t do that after the way we played the first half – there were too many other things we needed to look at.”

And I agree the same it isn't what we see in training and about Wrexham being a decent side, then again if he came out an ripped into the side he would get criticism for putting confidence down as he did after the Nuneaton game

He said almost exactly what I said last night about "rather now than Yeovil" and "you learn more from losing these games than winning them"!

Well I was just pondering whether it was a good thing, 'cos he's on my wavelength..or alternatively, a very worrying thing, given that my football managing achievements amount to taking Nuneaton and Thurrock to the Champions League in Football Manager!
