Adult prices are spot on, kids are bit steep though, should never pay more than £15 for a kids ticket in my book.

The club are pretty good these days at reacting to fan feedback. Pretty sure marketing/comms read SBT (why wouldn’t they?)

They may put out an offer for the Forest game all things considered.

They'll get more I'm sure, but will still not get anywhere near 5K.

People are completely misreading just how desperate people are to get to a game, and also massively overstating the size of away followings in the Championship (we used to take more than most Championship clubs in League 1 where allocations were often limited). I might be chomping at the bit, others on here too, but overall there is nothing like the clamour people think there is. Cheltenham on Saturday was a case in point; 500 days + since we played in front of supporters, short journey, and 400 turn up; about the same as what we'd have taken in any other season for a friendly.

So too this whole 'homecoming' bollocks. People aren't getting giddy about that, we've played there for 13 of the last 16 seasons, what's the fuss?

Personally, I can't wait and cannot see why people don't feel the same way, but they don't. It'll be looking pretty empty on the cameras for the Forest game unfortunately.

Well they are only allowing 1 per season ticket, and any leftovers don't go on general sale until the Tuesday before the Sunday match so I can't see there being many extra. It's like we are trying to prevent them coming

Hadn't heard of the Hull approach until now. Thirty quid a month all year. Think that could be a way forward

Make it sound like another utility that you pay for by direct debit.

Don’t get why people post other clubs prices. Who is choosing which team to watch based in price? We aren’t in competition with any other football team for fans money.

It's more for the people that moan about our prices, or people that are just generally interested, I don't get why people get beef about something just for the sake of it..

I think the point is how much other teams charge is largely irrelevant. If Birmingham charged £10 compared to our £20-30 a Cov fan wouldn't go and watch Brum instead - they just wouldn't go to Cov games. Similarly if, say, Birmingham charged £60 a ticket but could fill the stadium it'd be irrelevant if just down the road we charged £30 and couldn't. The Brum fans aren't going to suddenly come and watch Cov because it's half the price, even though the standard of football on offer is pretty much the same

So the prices that other teams charge are irrelevant - the only thing that matters is whether the price Coventry charge is a price Coventry fans are willing to pay.

Not true though- if you’re in Warwick, Stratford, Leamington even, and your young kids are nagging you to go to a game & don’t yet have a team, are they going to go to Blues to take in a game or us? Potential lifetime supporters gone.

Of course it’s relevant - all pricing strategies will benchmark other football clubs to get a price point - we have several clubs within a catchment than can be considered competition anyway

It’s relevant as people will look at other clubs (as is happening now) to assess if the offering is akin to other clubs. Otherwise what’s the comparison? 5 pints of Stella watching a game in a pub? How about Jimmy Carr on his tour? £37 to watch a smug twat?

Interesting, though might not provide the full picture regards 'standard' seating, as some clubs may have premium and non premium standard seating, as we use too, especially if it's a restricted view.

Of course it will play a part- if you have no ‘brand loyalty’, obviously price comes into it. I’m not saying that we’re going to hoover up thousands of new fans but to say price has no part to play is not right.

For existing fans the only important thing is whether they're willing to pay what the club they support are charging. If you're talking about potential new fans the biggest influence will be who the people they know, or get to meet in a new area, go to watch. After that price will be a factor in whether they decide to go with them or not. But very few would chose to go on their lonesome to watch a team because it was cheaper than the one everyone else went to.

There are probably a million people between the CBS and St Andrews- and a proportion of them in the middle will have no team loyalty and might want to go to a match. Price will come into it then, it’s pointless saying otherwise. If the match is dire then they might not come back, but that’s a different discussion

Of course it’s part of our catchment area! I’m not talking the middle of Birmingham but towards this side of Solihull for example. If we are limiting our potential support to the city limits we really are done for.

As for south, probably Northampton is it?

Disagree. There's a huge area west of Coventry and south of Birmingham which should be our catchment area - as far as Bromsgrove and down to Worcester and back eastward through Henley and Stratford. Club has neglected this area for decades.
For example they could play pre season friendlies against the likes of Kidderminster, Worcester but choose mostly to play east of a line the goes from the Humber to the Bristol channel.
The club seem to regard Leamington as its home for some reason.
