CRAIG BELLAMY - love him/hate him ??? (5 Viewers)

He's obnoxious, in your face, detestable, pain in the arse.............. BUT one hell of a footballer - yes that's our Craig.

Having just played 77 minutes giving everything against Uruguay and man of the match (outfield player) - you would want CB on your side every time except for CCFC for some reason had a turgid time (don't really know why - think it was bad mouthing CCFC when leaving)

But he had success at Norwich/Newcastle/Celtic/Blackburn/Liverpool/W Ham/Man C/Cardiff giving performances of boundless energy, commitment and no mean skill.

The little fella has still got it and hopefully GB wiill reap the benefit in the Quarterfinals and maybe beyond

I used to think he was a twat, but his charity work far outstrips any petulance on a football pitch or putter-based scraps.

Hate him due to the arrogance and short-man-syndrome, but a really hard working and talented player. definitely have him back, at least we would have one good player

Love to see him score a hat trick in the semi final and then get injured in the last minute so he d miss the final. obviously not a fatal injury lol

Bellamy came to Cov as a relative youngster after a recovering from a career threatening injury at Narrich and was expected to replace Robbie Keane ( & Gary Mac for that matter) - way too much pressure on him at the time. Still he got himself fit and moved on to N'castle while we began our downward spiral.

Absolutely agree. And he is a top class footballer. Silly comments when he left us, but that is just what he is like. Sometimes doesn't engage his brain before opening his mouth. Have spoken to a couple of people who have met him who say he is a top bloke who has time for everyone.

Bellend.....what can you say about him? Was young and immature whilst with us. IIRC the vast majority of offsides against us were for him being offside. Very quick player, would run too early or his team mates would not see his runs. Great on the ball though. One of the rare players to get our fans excited. He is now older, but still a bit immature at times. Great player for us but didn't appreciate the comnents he made when leaving. We don't know what went on though.

Would love to have him back. Always gives 100%. Maybe he was a bellend, but for a time he was our bellend.

Bellemy's biggest problem at Cov was the fans. They expected far too much from him due to his transfer fee and that Keane had just left so he was expected to be his replacement immediately. The tactics were crap and we never played to his strengths or had a suitable partner for him up front - if we'd had purchased Hartson earlier in the season the two of them could have built a very strong partnership - who know's what would have happened then ...

Remember the goal he scored at Leicester in our relegation season from the Premiership. That was a wander to see. From kickoff, winding run down the pitch and bam, he scored.

I was miffed at him for what he said about the club after he left but he's recommended players to us since then who come out on loan or as permanent signings (can't say who though).

I think he just needed to grow up. Yeh he's still a little immature from time to time but now he's immature with experience to back up his immaturity lol.

I'd have him back if he ever came around but i doubt he would. League 1 is far to low a league for him.

I think he should be honoured at the Ricoh - they should paint his face on the back of every urinal. (With his mouth open.)

Grown up since his days at Coventry (Which were 10 years ago!?). He probably still looks back on them and hates them, but who can blame him?

If somebody could put him in front of a firing squad I would pay good money to pull the trigger and end that jumped up little cunts life.
and Anyone who can take a golf club to a team mates legs and then celebrate about it in the next game, be convicted of hitting women, abuse Alan Shearer and racially abuse people should be sterilized.

For me we should sign up Saliou Ciss of Senegal simply for that foul on Bellend - best bit of olympics so far - just a shame the vile little cnut got up - abnoxious git who could start an argument in an empty room. Might be a class on pitch but no class off it.
