Pask told he can leave (1 Viewer)

Seems a bit weird to do this right now. Hyam and Rose are way behind in terms of preparation, Fadz is at that age where you really aren't sure how much longer he will last and after that it's Drysdale. Then the first years pro's like McGrath and Burroughs. You've got to allow for injuries and suspensions too. Given we seem to play with 3 CB's that seems woefully short if we let Pask go.

I was expecting one first choice CB to come in, possibly a second as a back-up. If this happens you could argue we'd need a third. I can only imagine this would be the case if MR definitely has someone else coming in to replace him.

Pask is made of Reda Johnson bone structure with no ability - it’s one of those things but he should be nowhere near a championship squad

Would I be surprised if he goes no, as long as we have a better replacement. Was ok as a last 20 minutes sub when the opposition is tiring. If he goes we need a better player for 90 minutes

Not arsed.

Hope he finds a decent club

Deffo looked like he didn't have a clue what he was doing sometimes, more laid back than a rasta listening to Bob Marley

I thought he did well in that game he played in his natural position last season. But if we can upgrade then probably best he leaves

Pask, Allen and Shipley were always players MR was going to have to make a decision on. If you are going to improve you always have to look at changing of the lower ranked end of your staff, it's natural.

MR has seen enough and wants to free up money to bring in a better calibre of player in his opinion. I would assume other deals are done which allows this potential exit. I'm not shocked and don't think he done much wrong when he played just not in the clubs plan moving forward.

I get the impression that Bushiri will be taking his place in the squad. More scope for development arguably.

Pask did well when selected but injuries held him back. I always felt he didn’t ‘look’ like a footballer…somehow looked lost on the field…and appeared very laid back. Good luck to him on the injury front and hopefully he will jump start his career

better days

Presumably because he isn’t part of the bomb squad like Jobello and Hilssner
Definitely not in the bomb squad
I suspect we would be happy to keep him but with more CBs coming in the lad realises he needs to move to play regularly
He's got a good attitude and but for his injuries would have played and learnt a lot more
Hope it works out well for him

His removal company will keep him ticking over until he finds a club anyway. Always thought it was an odd side hustle for a footballer, but fair play to the lad for planning ahead.

I suspect Pask moving makes way for more than just the one CB on loan.

Wonder if we’re getting on top of the loan, Cranie and Bushiri. Would provide a lot more cover and depth at the back.

Park has got good ability but I get the impression he's not aggressive enough to be a centre half would like to have seen him in the defensive midfield role he's got good pace could be a box to box midfielder

I remember Pask joining us and thinking at the time (after a couple of games) that he was a bloody decent player. Sorry to see him go but wish him well in his future.

I remember watching him in that first Leamington game, where he scored and thinking he might go on and be first choice ahead of Dabo! Obviously didn't turn out that way but wish him all the best. Won't forget that goal against Bristol Rovers in the cup where he appeared to turn into the flash!

Feel the same way Higgs. I don’t think he ever let us down when he got a chance in the team. I just find the timing of this very strange; if MR doesn’t rate him why didn’t he let him go at the end of the season?

Presumably he’s now clinched deals for superior players. Didn’t want to let him go without doing so first. Sensible…if true.

Pask done his ankle very soon after joining and was out a long time never really got the chance for a run of games due to the form of Dabo, unlucky but that’s football.

He has had some unfortunate setbacks here. But 23 now so needs to be getting regular football to develop.

Getting a deal in League 1 or 2 and getting regular games is probably better for him that the odd game or a few minutes here and there for us.

If he stays he does provide a bit of backup in various positions.
