Moore may have an occasional mistake in him but he is far more present than Marosi and Wilson. Very quick off his line which is very helpful considering our defence is not the quickest. His charge out at right back looked rash as Dabo took control of the situation but had he not Moore would have dealt with it and it would have looked like a good decision.

Takes a bit of time for a new goalie to understand the attributes of the back line.

Only concern moving towards start of season is our set pieces.

We have 11 professional football players on the pitch who literally get paid to kick a football and the only player we now seem to have to take free kicks and corners is Waghorn!

Free kicks that he can score from I understand but like Brian Clough used to say ‘I pay you to score goals young man-now get in to the box and stop taking corners’.

Surely Sheaf or Hamer should be on corner duties?

At times today Waghorn was like the kid who’s ball everyone was playing with-demanding he took everything.

When he went off-Jones reluctantly took a corner because no one else even moved to take it.

I know it’s a preseason friendly and we have new teammates that can need time to get adjusted but surely it’s not difficult to have a series of set piece takers!

It’s really my only gripe of the Robins/Adi regime-our set plays are bloody awful and on today’s evidence we aren’t getting any better!

Really enjoyed that. Plenty of positives to take and I like the look of Waghorn and Gyo as a front two. Think it could be potent when they’re up to speed and build an understanding.

Great to be back at the arena. As much as I enjoyed the old fashioned location and ease of pub access at St Andrews it is an inferior stadium by some distance.

@better days what’s the situ with Bright ?

Why are you pinning your hopes on him. I’ve know idea what we’ve bothered signing him and I hope it’s mostly geared towards appearances

You can see the reasoning for signing him. If the creative side of things is not happening from the starting eleven (of which Bright is unlikely to be early on) then we have jones/Bright as potential options as one recovers from injury and one gets fit /can focus his attitude. Of course it is a gamble, but if Bright had O'Hare's attitude we'd have a £15m plus player on our hands.

Edit: agree about the weighting towards appearances bit.

Not sure whether it was Traore or another player but Cranie got turned several times, as I saw it.
We aren’t going to play against anyone like Traore in the championship. The bloke is a Spain international and been linked with a return to Barcelona earlier in the summer.
