that's interesting - thought you didn't want JJ to have a new contract?

don’t think I made much of an opinion either way did I?

pretty much the way I saw it. The stick Sheaf gets I don’t see. He’s the base fulcrum in the midfield and has good energy and distribution.

Walker will get zero credit but he’s a better compliment to one of the other forwards as he can move and pull defenders

Hamer I’m afraid was terrible and a shadow of the player I expected to see live
I thought he did well in the last 20 mins or so. Was poor before that though.

When he came on we had to start dominating as an attacking force and try and win the game.

I think with what he has been through he needs a good three months just coming off the bench.
Maatsen was disappointing going forward. Jones made us look far more threatening.

Sheaf was very average today - but I want him to do well.
More difficult for Hamer in this set up but he's absolute quality.

Great game, brilliant atmosphere, fantastic result.
Forest deserved nothing if not for their constant time wasting…worst I’ve seen for a long time.
Mental celebrations for the winner!

Sheaf was miles better than Hamer. What I like about Sheaf is that if he gives it away he doesn’t sulk or go missing. Hamer gives it away and he disappears or has a tantrum

danny talking out of his arse as usual

That goal from McFaz shook the CBA Arena so hard it shunted it into another county,

GOAL! COVENTRY 2-1 NOTTM FOREST (McFadzean, 90+6)

OH MY WORD! THE FAIRYTALE HOMECOMING IS COMPLETE FOR COVENTRY!

It looks like the chance might be gone when Hyam's header from Hamer's free-kick is saved by Samba, but after Gyokeres then sees a shot blocked McFadzean is there to squeeze it past the goalkeeper and earn Coventry victory.

The scenes in the East Midlands are joyous. This is what we've all been missing, but not half as much as these guys.

Strange how people see different things. I thought Sheaf was really good and Hamer average at the very best.

its only Danny who sees it differently and oddly never pops up until the final whistle

we are not East Midlands 😆

but they’re right- the scenes when that second went in were mental, best at the Ricoh since… I can’t even remember

Maatsen is 19. Stepping up to Championship level in a big occassion game for Coventry City FC. He has a good first touch and did some good things. Maatsen needs time to find his feet at his new club, possibly biggest crowd he has played in front of.

I think Maatsen can settle in and be a good player for us.

Thought O’Hare was poor until the last ten minutes TBH. Hamer too. Lots of room for improvement there.

o hare is a constant threat

I thought Sheaf was good all match. Don't understand why he is always criticised. Only real mistake was the booking which I think affected him for the goal. But some great passing.
I agree I thought Sheaf was really good. You can see he has quality. Yeah, one or two poor passes but overall I was impressed with him.

I would say the only one who was good all match was COH.

First half we were quite poor en masse. Sheaf was definitely better than Hamer though, but the latter did improve late on in the game and was something a bit more like the player he was when he first came here.

I’d give you Hamer but O’Hare was excellent, miles ahead of anyone from start to finish. Nobody gets any peace on the ball and he creates. The two pieces of skill to create both goals were just the icing on the cake

Yes. But football often hinges on 5 or 10 minute spells.

We were poor in places, average in others and had a few magic moments that got us over the line. Thatvis football all over.

You fat fingered “LWB” instead of “RWB”…AND you fat fingered “Right attacking midfield gave us the extra body in the middle that we were lacking” instead of “LWB”?

okay 😂
My phone must of been upside down?
That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Not trying to be critical Herts but Sheaf's first half performance and decision making at times was very questionable - as I've always said there's potential there and I want him to succeed. Not writing him off at all.
It was great to see him as part of our second half revival.
