I thought i would come on here and see the reviews on the young lad.
2 pages, happy days, should be some good content on this thread.

Arghhh, the Fish puns are out
And to be fair, a couple of them i haven't heard before!

So fair play, this cod be one of the best i've read for a while

P.s, is he good enough for non-league then?

I like him, he’s been tipped for big things for a while and on the fringes of the first team squad but for me when I’ve seen him he needs work. Others will have watched him more in the reserves, but the glimpses I’ve seen he’s got good pace and trickery, knows where the goal is, but needs to learn the other aspects of the game. Seems quite naive.

I think he’ll do well for you, he needs a consistent run in men’s football to develop I think.

Think Grimsby have been done here hook, line and sinker, can't see him finding the net, thank Cod he's gone

Needs to learn his craft playing men’s football for a season.

He’ll get booted to shit but hopefully will learn, get stronger and be a better player.

Hope he doesn’t get ‘injured’ in the first month because he can’t hack it-only time will tell.

Has all the attributes to be a top player and I hope this is the platform to springboard him into next years thinking.

He's got loads of potential from what I've seen. Clearly not ready for Championship football but would be surprised if he didn't shine in the NPL. Potentially could be one of the best players in the division, but he's untested in men's football and you just don't know how players will adapt (for example we sent Callum Wilson to Kettering & Tamworth before he made our first team and he didn't really show much). Quite hopeful about him though, certainly been seen as one of our brighter prospects for a couple of years. If we hadn't been promoted to the Championship last year I suspect he'd have seen more game time. Even so he was deemed good enough for a couple of sub appearances in the Championship last year so think you should be hopeful.

He’s certainly talented and been around our first team since he was 16, hopefully this step into men’s football will help improve his judgement on what areas to play in. Do keep us updated on how he does

Very direct but as others have said, very raw. Hes looked OK in his brief appearances for the first team, hopefully this loan will be the making of him.

Crazy how far Grimsby have fallen. I remember them being around at Championship level for a bit, in fact our first season out the Prem you did us 1-0 at Highfield Road, Phil Jevons if I recall correctly.
Good luck for the season, you should be in the football league at a minimum and I hope Bapaga plays his part.

That was the game that ended Strachan's reign as manager

I'm Shore he will have a whale of a time at your plaice, he's quite a catch for you lot, you've done well to hook him.
I'll be sad to wave goodbye to him and I'm sure he will find the net very often.

Abysmal performance. Think Steve Kabba was playing for them and we couldn't cope with his pace (Warnock signed him for Sheff Utd shortly after).

Anyway, glad Bapaga has gone out on loan to them. Good for all parties - playing for our U23s would have been frustrating for him after being on the fringe of the first team squad last year.
