It’s fair to say SISU’s time at the club has been controversial to say the least. But despite the turmoil, Mark Robins has guided his side back to the second tier. It seems the hatred (among some fans) towards sisu has somewhat calmed a little , so I was just wondering whether at this stage you are sisu in or out.

The club has certainly hit a ceiling now, under the current regime. 4 years ago I’d have said you were mad if you thought City would be in the championship by now. ALL down to MR and AV.

We go no further than this though. By ‘this’ I mean bottom half championship club.

out, but not sure what exactly we're supposed to do about it on here :)

also with the caveat the the incoming people were demonstrably better, no point in 'like for like'

Its not that simple though is it, better the devil you know and all that- produce a credible & well intentioned alternative and its a big 'out', but I'm pretty sure such a thing does not exist

the Frank Pritchard argument

We had a chance with Dale Evans.

He's the poker player right?

SISU have been the most destructive force this club has ever seen (even more than John Gayle), but if someone did come along with silly money, who's going to do the DD? Would you rely on SISU to reject a serious offer because they didn't think the buyer had the best interests of the club at heart? I wouldn't

Googled him but I see a Samoan rugby league player affectionately nicknamed "Frank The Tank"

try harder

In out, in oit, shake it all about... why isnt that an option? I dont like SISU and think they have damaged the club in their time, however what better is out there? The grass is always greener...

Unless some true city fan rocks up it’s always going to be a roll of the dice innit?

I don’t know much about other clubs of our size but who is the model owner outside of mental billionaires on an ego trip and local boys done good?

ah ok. Still not sure who Frank Pritchard is unless he's that RFC guy. The choice of terms is a coincidence.

I don't think I'm saying the same as him- I want them gone, out the door, vanished, kaput- only thing I would want to know is would there be some kind of process to do a better job vetting the new owners than was done when Joe Elliot brought SISU in.

I'm gonna read the rest of that thread

Not professing to know all the detail about the finances but could the more realistic question be "would you start again in the 10th tier of football if it meant SISU walking away tomorrow", as I'm not sure anyone is going to buy us

oh and I see the spreadsheet is being maintained well finding that from years ago :)

Trouble is it seems dodgy new owners of club's that are appearing throughout the pymarid.fit and proper person vetting appears to be toilet.question, better the devil you know?

In this day and age its a bit wider than that I think, could be some corporation, or someone from a corporation that fancies a club as a small subsidy. Aren't Portsmouth owned by some bloke who used to run the Disney company?

But then we're into the unsolveable situation of the ground, debts etc

Ground isn’t so much of an issue on better rent I’d assume. Debts would have to go as part of any deal.

Best bet would probably be someone who want us and Wasps at the same time. Game seems fucked from a business perspective though.

Agreed. Unless we have an absolute freak of a season we will never even challenge for promotion under SISU. Sad but true

If we applied this argument to everything then we'd be trying our luck with Reece Charles-Cook in goal, Haynes, Kelly-Evans and Vincenti in the team.
I get your point Liquid, but we can get rid of Ryan Haynes, Vincenti etc knowing we can get a replacement. Not the same thing with owners in that you a) can't just get rid of them and b) don't get to choose the replacement. Of course I'd love Sheikh Italabout to replace SISU if I had a magic wand😉
