Swansea City game 2nd November Advice (8 Viewers)

Hi a few of us are coming by train from Swansea going to the 2Tone village before the game then onto the game with a few beers and a curry after the game then staying over somewhere?
Some advice on where to stay, drink...etc so we are not spending the whole time walking or taxis.

Given the different things you want, you're going to have to get taxis or walk a bit tbh.

2Tone Village is walkable from the city centre mind, but you'll need to get a cab up to the ground. City centre best for hotels, if I was staying I'd stay at the Telegraph Hotel (4 star but prices look very reasonable). Few places to drink around it as well.

Cheers yeah was looking at that hotel and the not so nice Britannia so the logistics of it then dump stuff in hotel then cab to 2Tone village then a few pints after somewhere before game on route then cab to game and then cab to city centre for a beer and a curry

There are s couple of hotels in the Butts by the rugby ground , then you could use Earlsdon high street for excellent venue's for Beers and top curry venues .
Equally fairly close is Kenilworth Rd and the station

Earlsdon is considered to be upmarket for Coventry , very busy Friday Saturday evenings

Get off train, go to 2 tone village book the Ramada in the Butts over to Sky Blue Tavern beers get the coach from there to the game , back to the Tavern beers choice of curry houses by Ramada , even walk up to Railway Club curry and beers , back to Hotel bar more beers crash out wake up next morning with hangover feeling like shit but sod it, it was worth it
Thats my recommendation

Check with the two tone village, prior to your trip to ensure that the museum is deffo open - don't want to get your day off to a disappointing start.
Just a little further down the road (heading back towards the city centre) is a place called 'FarGo village' (Coventry sounds very idyllic so far doesn't it?) - So named because it's at the top of Far Gosford street) It's a collection of small independent businesses including food and drink.
There's a great micro brewery called the 'twisted barrel' - again because I'm not a regular, you may want to check opening times on the day you (may) want to visit.
Potentially it Could be one of the best pre-match sessions you'll ever have.
You may also want to consider individual all day bus tickets because the roaming you may be doing could really stack up the expense with taxi/uber fares.

Kushi just up from the ground do a good curry it's attached to the Hub pub which I would think will be full of cov fans after the game.

Swansea, well the mumbles is a nice area - what is the ice cream shop with a history/good reputation?
Think the place is also famous for Stacey actress from Gavin and Stacey...

And the DVLA.

I miss the days when you could stay at the Ricoh, they used to convert the corporate boxes into rooms after the matches.

Was something ridiculously cheap like £50 for a room 2 match tickets, a drink in the casino and breakfast. used to take advantage of that regularly :(

not much help for you tho, will echo what others have said about avoiding the Britannia!

Very overrated IMO, Akbars or Royal Bengal are both much better.

You may want to avoid booking the Ramada, I think it's currently being used as a quarantine hotel (who knows when that will stop). I'd stick to Earlsdon for pubs/food/hotel. Nice part of the city with easy access to everything.

Royal Bengal isn’t as good in my view but each to their own

Twisted Barrel tap room opens at midday on weekends and there's loads of nice places to eat o Gosford Street as well. Nice easy 20 stroll into town as well from there.

What time does it open during the week? as the match is a Tuesday night.

Just don't wear colours in town after the game or despite most people being normal, we have dickheads like every club and they won't be able to help themselves despite most likely having not been at the game (and that's unfortunately whether you win lose or draw :( ! )

Haha! That makes sense, I've heard all sorts of mad theories as to why there's been constant security on there, including Boris Johnson was staying there!
