Agree. Those values are well above at the moment. But I think Hamer in particular has that "something special". It's been a while since we've seen that kind of thing in a City shirt, so I guess we can forgive people getting carried away a little (I know I have at times). If O'Hare can improve his final pass/ shooting, then I do think he would be snapped up. But right now, that is what is holding him back. But as others have said, if they were the finished article, they wouldn't be playing here! But we can all dream of the pay day that could come. If they realise the potential they have...
Well it's early days but re Hamer I think we have a barometer if say we compare him to Fleck for instance , I'd think that has him in the £4-5M bracket , but if he brings it for the season ahead possibly £6M?

As someone previously said, players are worth what someone is willing to pay. Right now we might be able to get that if the club in question was really keen, and we had no need/ desire to sell him. I think in most circumstances it might be lower than that. Hopefully that will mean the club would rather keep hold of him and hold out for more after either a few solid seasons in the championship or one more real stand out campaign. But it's all speculation right now I guess

I watched the extended highlights again for the game yesterday. O Hare is by far our best player and was the best player on the pitch last night easily. He was everywhere, him and Gyokeres link up really well too as Gyokeres has the movement needed to lead the line on his own and O Hare has the vision. He must've threaded him through decent balls about 5 times.

As everyone knows the only thing lacking from his game at the minute is that little bit of composure when it comes to finishing. It's obviously not technique, think it's just composure and he snatches at things. The second that's sorted he'll be offski. Get him on a 5 year deal

Ohare was mentioned tonight again by George and Ali from Not the top 20 podcast on Sky after the live game. The Ones to watch in the championship.

Picked out 6 players ...Ohare piece was brilliant. They reckon he can go right to the top and compared him to Grealish.

Just watched a show on Sky Sports after the Bristol Swansea game, they talk about players to watch in the Championship and O’Hare came up. They’re of the opinion he will play for a top 6 team eventually. Interesting to hear a neutrals view more than anything, often we will see players through sky blue tinted glasses and over hype our players, but I think if he adds a few goals this season he will certainly be going to the prem at the end of this season.
Dabo, Gyo and Hamer also got mentions.

Maybe so, but we could have held out for 3x the amount we sold him for. Everyone knew he was a top level player. We have made what, 6 million from him? Nothing for one of the best players in the Premier Legaue. For me, O'Hare should go for significantly more in the current market. When you consider Armstrong went to Southampton for £15m.
I think we needed/need the money. Hopefully we’re in a stronger position financially to hold out for more, when the inevitable happens.

That was the problem with being in the third tier at the time, less bargaining power and less ability to hold him for longer. Still we stacked the deal well and made money long after he was sold.

With O’Hare we can do similar on a grander scale, hopefully push for an 8 figure fee even if he isn’t worth it

We desperately need Ohare to sign a new contract before seasons out.

Your transfer value is significantly higher with 3/4 left on your contract rather than just 1. When your tempted to release at a cut price.

Couldn’t agree more. I’d hope that negotiations are already under way.

He might only do so if we give assurances we'll accept a certain bid or higher, which to be fair I'm OK with

I guess it's down to where, when and who , there is surely a tacit understanding from when he penned initially.
