Basically, having trawled Reading's forum, they don't have a left back (sound familiar!) and say that any team that has watched them will know to just attack them down that side! Let's hope Fankaty is having an 'on song' day...

Reading fans just arrived at Coventry station and upset my daughter with their loutish entitlement.🤔

Will always remeber that Simod Cup semi at Elm Park. Was only a youngster but remeber being devastated.
Same here. I mean it was the Simod cup FFS, but it felt like we were going back to Wembley. Think it was the first time I’d seen us lose on penalties which made it feel worse somehow.

I would be gobsmacked and more than a little puzzled if MR did not stick with the starting line up from Blackpool. It was not just the win, but the manner of it. Having one of his lesser players - Allen - perform so well was a real bonus.

I hope there has been lots of training on the back 3.

Not sure DaCosta should even be on the bench.

I will be really disappointed if we don't win this. Before the season, pundits were pointing out how poor Reading's form was in the second half of last season - almost relegation standard. Some tipped them for the drop this year. And as has been pointed out above, they are missing key players.

A scraped victory by a single goal is not good enough.
Different opposition, can’t just copy and paste the same tactics necessarily.

Just talking with Reading fans on train up. They have zero confidence for today. Only sold a 1000 they reckon which is crap for an hour train journey. Their words not mine!

Hard to recall results at home v Reading over the years, I remember they played in one of the early games at the Ricoh, got a feeling it was a draw.
Found this one from the last season at Highfield Rd, don't recall this game at all. A rare win under Peter Reid:

Amazing the turn around in both clubs since this fixture last season. Roles pretty much reversed.

Rob Page scored a last minute equaliser in that one I think. The most memorable for me was the one where Richie Partridge scored a ridiculous effort in the 02/03 season

Looking forward to this and think it could be an entertaining game. Hoping for a home win and the weather not to be as bad as forcast.

2-0 City win, early goal would be ideal.

Going with a 1-0 to City. I hope I’m not jinxing it here but I do feel more comfortable with Moore between the sticks. Obviously he’s going to score two own goals, headbutt the post and get carried off due to my stupid optimism.

Absolutely buzzing to be back.

Sorry about being the bad luck charm. I’ve also bought my brother who only managed to see us score 2 goals in the whole of the St Andrews season so double sorry.
