I certainly don't want to be nastyThe level of nastiness is off the scale at times.

Wigan had agreed to take the Nigerian for the whole season, but now the clubs have to come to a financial arrangement over his wages after the Latics decided to end the deal early.
“I won’t make any comment about Bright Enobakhare. He’s going back to Wolves,” said Cook after Wigan’s 3-2 win away to Birmingham City on New Year’s Day.
Asked why he hasn’t had the game time, Cook added: “With respect, I won’t be commenting on Enobakhare.”
Who knows. Could end up being messy if true.
If anybody uses a false bereavement as an excuse then that is on them and no one else. You always have to be careful from a HR perspective when someone reports family bereavement, however, I think you have to be an extremely naïve individually if you think a rap sheet and reputation count for nothing. It seems to be the boy that cried wolf with him.
There are well-informed posters on here and I tend to respect their point of view generally. I think it bothers me as I know someone who got persuaded by his missus to tell work that her mum had cancer so he couldn't go in regularly. That always hit a nerve with me since and this feels like it could be a similar thing.
Obviously if it is indeed true regarding him losing family members then I retract my comments.
If he has lost an immediate family member then some people on here are going to look pretty callous.
If he is pissing about then sure, throw the book at him, sack him, whatever.
But he's innocent until proven guilty.
Let's hope the contract is loaded with ways for us to fuck him off.
The thing is Nick, the lads clearly has a lot of personal issues.
A player with his talent, is worth looking after. (Anyone is worth looking after if they have mental health problems). Give him the support he needs. Work out what the issues are.
Mark Robins has shown he can be a decent man manager. I'd love it if he could turn Bright around rather than throw the book at him like everyone else.
If anybody uses a false bereavement as an excuse then that is on them and no one else.
If any person informs the company of a bereavement in their family I would expect the company to be sympathetic with that employee and offer their full support during this period.
Did he though ?Hardly as it's a classic boy who cried wolf scenario.
Can't really blame people for jumping the gun when he's reportedly previously lied about a family bereavement.
If Liam Kelly or Dabo came and said they had a family bereavement, you know as well as I do that the club, Robins, and the fans would be right behind them and would support them the whole way in every way they could.
Let's see what happens, but it feels to me like this is a different situation with a player who has proved several times that they cannot be trusted. As I said, I will retract my comments if what I have said is wrong, but I suspect that won't be the case.
There's a reason other clubs have fucked him off though.
A player like him will only play well on his terms, all he is bothered about is money.
Let's not forget he was telling our fans he was signing then fucked off to Wigan last time, we owe him nothing.
Of course, if he has mental health issues then we would surely have known about them so should have put in place some help for him IF he wanted it. IF he chose not to take it then his contract is torn up.
But this is my point, I feel it runs far deeper than being a greedy, lazy sod.
It's like kids who get into gang trouble. You can choose to throw them in a prison or you can look to rehabilitate and fix the problems.
Considering his ability, I'd much prefer we chose the latter option.

We're a football club, not a charity.

Of course, but he's clearly got ability and we've given him a contract. A complete waste to let his fanny around for the next two years.

Fucking state of the amount of ‘ifs’ on this thread. The cry wolf is on him for the past but how about we wait for a statement from the club or at the very least some basis of fact?
You also have to wonder how it works with team spirit. If the other players see him acting up then what example does it set?
Didn’t Stephen Ireland do this at one time?

Well he was posting footage showing him out on the piss in Canary Wharf next day
What are the club going to say though "We can confirm reports Bright Enobhakare has sacked off training to go on the lash"Fucking state of the amount of ‘ifs’ on this thread.
