You would hope not. Most subs should and are used to affect the game as it's being played out not pre-planned. Only time you would expect pre-planned is if we are winning, or someone who started wasn't fit

Waghorn for Godden was a good substitution, Walker for Gyo was bizzare.

Shame but QPR been the better side second half. Only one of the two strikers should have come on in retrospect. Desperately missed Gyo’s strength and first touch bringing the long balls down. Godden never been that type and Walker just powderpuff in his attempts to outmuscle their defenders.

Yeah first half as well TBH mate. Played OK on the break but no real chances. Wingbacks have been beaten by their opposite numbers, midfield nowhere near theirs, defence poor, O’Hare anonymous. Showed we still don’t have the quality against a top ten side in this division.

The irony is if we'd had Walker or Godden alongside Gyo first half we'd probably have scored a few.

Bit of a reality check by the sounds of it but can’t get too down. Compared to last seasons performance away at QPR we sound like a different team...and looked it so far this season

Robins pulled off a blinder with last weeks subs (also a gamble), this week, not so good. Agree that putting two strikers on when neither are fully fit seems a strange one though

Waghorn's best game so far. We've faded as Maatsen has faded. Dabo looks fit on the other side though

Waghorn for Godden was a good substitution, Walker for Gyo was bizzare.

I probably would’ve taken Waghorn off for Walker and left gyokeres on. When I saw the starting lineup I thought it was our best 11 but I’d have Walker playing with gyokeres instead of Waghorn as Walker offers something a bit different.
