tbf, not sure I'd want to sign a player who on his first interview looks forward to waiting for one of the first team to pick up an injury before he plays a game, as he's clearly inferior!
If you listen to it he basically says I don't care where the manager plays me as long as I'm playing. Could deffo become a handful if he isn't playing.

Here’s a novel concept:
Let’s give the bloke a reasonable chance before writing him off as shit or as a weird signing etc.
He’s experienced at this level. The same people bedwetting are the same ones who said we needed to add championship experience last season. Make your fucking minds up!

Good, I only want players who want to play, if your happy not playing, your in the wrong job!

It's not about whether he wants to play, it's about how will he react if he's not? Take it on the chin, put his head down and give the manager stuff to think about or just be a bit of an arse?

Well why not wait and see, I'm sure MR has spoken to him and explained the situation to him.

We need to stop getting hung up on what individual players earn. If we want to sign players based on wages we should continue signing players like DaCosta. We're in the Championship now and will have to pay appropriately.
Agree we need to pay the going rate for talent in the championship. I was perhaps wrongly assuming he was brought in to be a covering squad player. As we improve we will obviously need to break our wage structure and that won't be destabilising because the other players can see top players arriving to make the difference in specific areas. Problems could start when back up players start to out earn the starters and that will get a lot of agents knocking on the manager's door.

In fairness, I’d still rather a player whose going to be a bit of an arse about not playing than a player who doesn’t show up and is a bit of an arse for no reason whatsoever (Bright). Not comparing the two as players as obviously different positions, but more the mentality

Can only think we may see dabo used more at CB with Kane at rwb when needed. With also being able to deputise at lwb at a push. Solid player with plenty of experience at this level which is also something we didn’t have last year.

So while I’m not particularly excited by the signing , I suppose it shows another step in the right direction being able to sign a player whose spent most of his career playing in this league 👍
We don’t need to see dabo CB again

Anywhere across the back line or even in midfield according to his signing video. Even if he can only play in rwb and provides another option/cover it’s hardly an atrocious signing.
Why not try him upfront, or in AM too. If he says he can play there why not
