Jimmy Hill love fest. The first opportunity between the clubs? Sunderland fans will be tuning in no doubt!

I think we also lost to someone early last season on Sky, was it Swansea/Cardiff/Middlesborough, to a late goal?
2 lateish goals at the Riverside.

Plus, I don't count those games as being on Sky... Having just one hard camera & no replays is a fucking nightmare... I mean concentrating on the match and not being able to type down some bollocks on here that no one gives a fuck about!

Our record on for televised games has actually been really good since we've came up. Can only remember losing the one Vs Bournemouth. Correct me if I'm wrong but aside from the draw against Watford which was still a good result, the rest have all been wins haven't they?
Think your right a draw would take that now.

We played Brentford live on Sky in February and battered them. Strange result considering our form, Biamou with 2 assists and Walker with 2, one which was an awful penalty.

Anythings possible.

I genuinely reckon this could see a crowd if about 12k.

They havnt been to our ground in about 30 years.

Its not that far either. Think they will bring 1000, embarrasing if they cant mange that.

Crowd will still be 14500 minimum.

Even if they bring 1000 + (which I genuinely think they will), I can't see 3000 non-season ticket holders choosing to pay £30 to see us play against a fairly boring club at lunchtime when they can watch it at home.

We got hammered at Reading, that was on Sky from memory.

You make these types of dire prophecies before every match, didn't you say 14k for Reading?

True, I was wrong.

Difference is, this is £30, 12:30pm and on Sky. Surely you aren't expecting similar to Reading?

Fulham may sell more as they are likely to be top of the league, plus there will be a lot of their fans who like to tick off different grounds - this will be their first opportunity for The CBS. Think they'll bring 2k.

No I’m not, but good results between now and then, the novelty of Fulham, the likely league leaders or thereabouts- it’s very rarely as negative as you make out

Tbf Fulham, despite having a wealthy owner and swollen pockets from years of yo-yoing collecting parachute payments which means they always end up near the top of this league, aren't really much of a draw. At least I don't think so anyway.
Maybe slightly more of a draw for us as we've somehow managed to dodge playing them for decades, but I'm not sure most will even realise that.

Exactly why would anyone care? It’s the first game since crowds are allowed back that we’ve played Huddersfield for 50 years. Wow

16k home fans against Forest is what I predicted when others were saying 20k.

Take away the recent history with Fulham in Europe and floating around the Prem, they are no bigger draw than Huddersfield for me.

Nobody is arguing that or anything like it. Just that it’s highly unlikely there will be as few as 12k there, and this desperate obsession with making gloomy forecasts is weird

Why is it highly unlikely? £30 a ticket and on sky? Probably the smallest away following for a Saturday game this season.

I got the Forest game correct, as I did with the away following at Barnsley correct. Not gloomy, realistic.

That was a combination of Brentford's obsession obsession with trying to play tikka takka out from the back on a slightly bobbly pitch and our decision to play a high press to take advantage of it. We played well, but it felt like a bit of a one off, and bad management on their behalf - chuffed as I was at what happened.

I dont know of anyone bar ST holders going to this. Same for me also, daughter has football training until 12 fuck rushing about to get up there and paying 30 nicka il stick it on telly

That's appalling.

Agreed - 6 match package for £144 (£24 a game) hardly feels like an incentive to buy. Would have thought £120 should be nearer the mark if you want to get cash up front. I guess the proof of the pudding will be the sale numbers for these. You'd think they'd want to shift a few as it gives the club cash up front (guessing some even get unused each season) and takes a bit of pressure off the ticket office / cash turnstiles on match days. Odd when ST prices seem so reasonable.

I have a sneaky feeling STs won’t be as reasonable next season. I think they were thinking it might be another COVID season and we’re playing it safe.

On a personal level, I don't mind them nudging up the costs for ST next season. If fans have a positive experience this season, you'd hope there would be a reasonable retention for next season.
