Haven't followed this in detail and not going to read through 15 pages - so sorry if this has been covered.

Is the likely outcome that Robins/coaches see Kane as the first choice for the RCB position (as given what we are hearing) Kane certainly isn't moving here to be a bench warmer and back up for Dabo? Kane is in effect the replacement for Osti?

JCS seems to be the first choice at LCB and also McFadz is the first name down at CB; looks like Rose and Hyam battling it out to force their way in if any of the CBs are out of form/injured?

If this means that we never see Dabo at RCB again - that's a result in itself.

He isn’t a centre back

That's what interesting about the signing - as he's certainly not going to happy as back-up for Dabo by all accounts and I can't see Dabo getting dropped given the dynamic he brings to the team. As such I just wonder if the Coaches see that Kane has the potential to be developed as as class RCB.

The alternative was to sit in QPR 23s. I imagine he’s just happy to find another club given his racism ban and being bombed out there

He doesn’t see himself as a CB and according to QPR fans defending isn’t his strongest area so I’d be surprised.

Any signing that adds quality and depth is a good signing, we obviously need to see him play to determine those questions. What is pretty obvious is that MR isn't sold on Reid or De Costa and sees them a bit off championship level, that can change over time and down to the desire of the player.

Kane is an experienced player who sounds like he plays with a bit of fire in his belly and confident in his own ability. We need a bit of that if anything we play nice, we are starting to get a bit of savvy through playing at this level. But keep Adding others like this into an relatively inexperienced group I would think is a good thing.

Personally what he said should of stayed between him the player and the club. This sort of thing happens in every club every week in clubs up and down the country, verbals, fights squad clicks are common place. It's not worth even talking about it, he needs to get on with football now and go forward. New club, new start and hope the fans give him a chance as a footballer not as a personality to showcase himself and improve our club on the field.

Seems like you've found your way back onto that high horse.....

To be fair though Greggs - Hill83 is right and many are in agreement - there's sometimes a very depressing pattern on here of negativity against certain players followed by a gleeful 'I told you so' (admittedly by a small vocal minority).

I know City fans who go nowhere near this message board given the negativity or simply just give up after being piled on for offering a different 'non-negative' viewpoint.

I understand that mate. But the people moaning about the 'negative moaners' are just as bad. Just let people have an opinion and move on.
People take this place FAR too seriously.

There's definitely some negativity at times, but tbf, there is an equal amount of going way OTT at the other end of the spectrum too, as in any body who dares say a player has underperformed gets immediately jumped on.

I think that's fair as well - I guess balance on both sides and agreeing to disagree more amicably.
