“I have no idea how trustworthy this guys information is but I’m declaring it 100% untrustworthy”

Top posting. Would read again.

No one knows, the drama queens on here though reckon hes mugged the club off and hes about to get his contract terminated 😂

Facts are though he's had no pre season, picked up a knee injury against Northampton and had a 'Personal Issue' according to Mark Robins. The personal issue is the thing everyone's disputing as we don't know if it's legitimate or not. Either way just let Robins deal with it, i for one think we will see him on the bench in the next few weeks
The thing is you can't ignore his background. We all know what he was like the first time he was here as players who were in the squad with him have openly talked about it. Since then he appears to have pretty swiftly been dumped by every club that's given him a chance so its not surprising that when he's not featuring at all, not even in the U23s, there's going to be questions.

If, for example, Kelly missed a game as he turned up late or Dabo was away for a couple of weeks for a personal issue you'd take it at face value. That's not going to happen with Bright until he earns that trust back.

It may well be a genuine issue, I can't imagine Robins standing for some of the things claimed on here like him faking family members deaths, but I don't think a lot of people will really believe there's not an issue until they see him on the team sheet.

The thing is he has already been on the teamsheet, Robins has then come out and said he came off in that game due to an injury.

He also said at the same time that there has been a personal issue.

Our fan base just love a moan.

As I've said previously, Robins would not have resigned him if he had any doubts about his character.

The stuff being banded about like "former players have said this" is surely referring to things said in podcast by Grimmer and Davies. Things like turning up late to meetings and not taking his hat off ect.

What they fail to mention is towards the end of his time this wasn't happening so i dont understand what the issue is .

Stop moaning for the sake of it and looking for the bad guy.

WHY WOULD ROBINS RESIGN HIM!

A triumph of hope over experience?
We've all been guilty of that in life at times I guess
Tbh Rob I've heard quite a bit more than has been posted but I'm sure the club are working on a resolution
Essentially I feel sorry for Bright (but I don't think many who have to work with him share this feeling at the moment)
He may be making the same mistakes as plenty of young players before him who got too much too soon
For some of them the penny drops but for others it never does and their career goes down the toilet

He's the first player I've really moaned about.
Even the likes of Shipley and Dacosta who I don't think are good enoughI don't moan about or question their professionalism.

But he comes with so much baggage and already it appears he's up to his old tricks and he's not even got a great record at this level.

Sounds about right- shocking waste of talent & if he is playing up he needs to be gone

... but still confused as to what is actually going on with the guy, so many rumours :)

Think you misunderstand the point but there's no change there

Not really. You said you don’t know who skybluebeliever is, may as well add better days in as well. So you don’t know their track record for providing info but you’re happy to declare you know better and anyone who believes them is a bed wetting drama Queen.

You were probably sat around wondering who was going to sign on deadline day as well while everyone else knew. That’s fine, but don’t pretend you have some moral superiority for being unable to judge the quality of rumours around the club.

WHY WOULD ROBINS RESIGN HIM!

Because MR is in position where he has to take chances.
How much would Bright have cost if he had no baggage? Well beyond our reach.
Rightly or wrongly, MR must have believed that he could manage him.
We will see.

I think the best resolution for all is to:

a) Cancel his contract; and then
b) Sign him up as a free agent on the following day & explain that this is FINAL WINAL chance.

Does this suit all parties on this thread???
Bright has to do everybody's bins for a month

I don't blame him for trying, and its a good sign that he's prepared to chop him & acknowledge that it was wrong.

... if all this is true!

And it's annoying that after a decent start with a lot of positives so much time is devoted to discussing the antics of this gobshite

As Samo said we’re trying to compete against clubs with bigger budgets therefore we will have to take calculated risks in order to compete. Whether that’s questionable ability, attitude..1 or 2 will work, the rest discarded quickly.

To be fair, while I agree it's annoying his behaviour is brought into question, you know we would be moaning about something else. There's only so much positivity to go about. We could be Champions League winners and we (not excluding myself) would be moaning that a cup of tea is 10p more than it is at Barrow.

I guess it’s a choice with players who fall into this category.

Strachan pulled Noel Whelan close in and we got some spells of good form and ultimately sold him on for a decent fee.

Kevin Thornton, I thought, was a wasted talent that may, in another set up, have gone a different way.

So, what to do? As usual, I expect the usual laughing emojis, but a totally left field idea is a spell on loan in say, Qatar (where, dare I say, evening temptations are lesser) or China. I think there’s a huge potential in Bright, would be a shame to not have a final role of the dice.

For the avoidance of doubt: Never wanted him back - for all his obvious skill he was too disruptive to any structure Robins may impose. Did his own thing rather than fit with the team. Now the evidence is mounting that he is disruptive internally as well. Hope he never comes back
