Can’t remember us coming out of the traps this quickly under Robins - he usually has to tweak the formation/tactics mid-season before we look really comfortable but credit to him this year. Keeping the turnover down in the squad this summer made for a fairly boring transfer window but seems to have made things more settled eventually.

One thing that's not talked about is our consistency.

We've not played badly yet this season , we've had a couple of bad spells against forest first half and qpr second but we are consistent ,Keep going and look very fit too

I generally agree and I am absolutely buzzing with it all. But I would say to keep our feet on the ground because in all 4 games we’ve won there have been scary moments, which is natural in football but could have swung the other way. Yesterday was a good example with the triple save Moore makes. If one of them goes in and we go 0-1 it’s a different game.

I’m saying that, we’d have probably still won 2-1 😂

I know this is being selective but if you take the last 6 games of last season and the first 6 of this season we have taken 25 points from 12 games. We haven't played any of the very best sides in those 12 games but still a very good haul.

But we have played a number of teams reckoned to be middle to top end of the championship

I never thought we would go down, even before the season started. We are only 6 games in but we are playing exceptionally well and getting the results. There's only been one game where we can feel hard done by.

I'm more of a realist but I think its important we enjoy how the team are doing at the moment.

Crazier things have happened and its not completely out of the question flirting with the playoffs but it should be a hope, not at expectation.

Midtable would be a brilliant accomplishment.

Well in L2 we were never outside the top 10 to be fair but yes in general it’s usually a slow burner. I do think our lack of pace at the back will bite us in some games but then again we’re creating so many chances that might not matter

Biggest early season plus is that whereas we thought we would be reliant on Callum O'Hare to be the one breaking the lines to instigate any attacks, and hoping Bright would be a back up 'spark' , Instead Jamie Allen looks like he has had a duracell surgically implanted, Maatsen seems to have an attacking mojo, Fankaty has started to return to his pre-injury level, and Viktor is running defences. Running through the opposition's midfield is opening teams up and it's great to watch.

Even L2 it was a late push wasn’t it? Strong finishes have become a bit of a Robins hallmark.

We've just built on decent momentum from the end of last season, we didn't have that after winning league 1 cos the gap in time and quality was just too big at that point. We've broadly stuck with the 3-5-2 but adapted to the pace of this league now.

Let's not get carried away. Enjoy the process and the fruits of our labour will be well worth the effort. We had a tough set of fixtures to start last season and this season has been comparatively easier. So we'll need to factor that as well. But we're 1 year wiser and have looked very competitive in all matches, which bodes well for us. We've beaten Forest and Boro who we lost to last season which are also positive signs. Just have to stay injury-free, suspension-free, pick up point on our travels and cut out silly mistakes (the latter of which I think we're doing a better job of).

Random and pointless stat but this time four years ago, we were within 10 places of Grimsby, Cheltenham and Barnet in the football pyramid.. today we are within 10 places of Arsenal.

Hmmmmm, we're playing well, consistently and most importantly winning. Wonder how good we will be once Robins has tweaked the side

I’m really enjoying where we are at the moment, but talk of play offs is really premature, 6 games in. Mid table would be an excellent season.

To be honest I just want to hit 50 points ASAP and then look to improve. There’s always that one team that is a surprise package, but equally there is always the team that plummets in the second half of the season, still be be happy to match 16th but given the start I’m pushing towards 12-14th

Sheff United starting to put results together and I don't see Reading or Swansea staying in the bottom 6 for too long. There's always going to be surprises. Still sticking to my midtable finish prediction but I'd be overjoyed if we ended up higher.

Didn't go but was Robbins in charge at Northampton? The season we scored for fun during the first few games?

I'm happy getting carried away myself, but when i try to reign it in a bit we've actually only played one team outside of the bottom 10, and we lost quite comfortably in reality.

Absolutely incredible start and just as much for the performances than the actual results.

not concerned about relegation at all but i still think we could be looking at 12th to 15ish (which i will be more than happy with!)

The game Saturday was great. Really entertaining

I genuinely think we have an outside chance of the play-offs if we can avoid multiple injuries to key players all at once throughout the season.
Mid-table would still be an excellent achievement though.

Our end of season form was an indicator that this could happen. People at the time said it was because others were on the beach, maybe it was us showing what we are now capable of and that's continued.

I used to be quite successful in backing promotion winners in the leagues based on their end of season form. I'd have Cov in that same bracket if I wasn't a Cov fan and know what we're like :D

agree- depends on what you class as mid-table
Page 1 of Ceefax for me would be excellent
