Has to be Gyokeres. Haven't seen someone able to hold the ball up so consistently and offer so much threat as an outlet since relegation.

Makes such an enormous difference and allows us to move up the pitch so much more quickly than last season and the promotion season.

Players bounce off him. His link up play is good. A bit more finesse with his final ball (e.g. overhit pass to Godden on Wed) and we'll hammer teams.

Less about their ability and more about the cover, But I’d be worried if we lost any of: Moore, Fadz, JCS, Maatsen, O’Hare, Györkeres for more than a game or two.

With Gykores for a 6ft plus strong striker he can actually carry the ball...so much to his game.

Moore cost £3.5M.....wow.

I know who I would rather have.

Gyokeres, at the moment everything you want in a centre-forward.
There was talk in the summer of Cardiff’s Keiffer Moore going to Wolves for 5million, he’s not a patch on Gyo unless the ball is pumped into the air.

The fact you've listed so many and people are arguing over who should and shouldn't be included, shows how well we're doing. In truth it's not even the 11, it's the squad, the coaching team and the fans - not only back in numbers and voice but without them I don't think we get those last minute winners however much deserved.

O'Hare still our best player IMO. Other teams are terrified of him, Cardiff were so quick to press/foul him on Wednesday night. Creates space for a player like Allen to drive forward (I think this is why Sheaf is out of the team at the moment, and in part why Allen is looking so good).

Vik deserves the plaudits he's getting most definitely but Wagz is certainly improving as he gets to know the team and the way we play. The fact God and Walker aren't getting pitch time shows what an immense job both starters are doing.

Gyokeres is WAY more indispensable than any other player. Followed by,
O'hare
Hamer
Mcfadzeen
Dabo
Hyam.

We will do well to hang on to Victor in January if his form continues. Premier league teams will be aware of him, and big powerful centre forwards who can also score are a rarity, and worth a fortune.

I know what you mean. But if he was ready for the Prem surely Brighton would’ve kept him.

Moore for me.
If Gyo get injured we can play Godden or walker alongside Waghorn.
If O'Hare get injuredwe can push Allen up and bring in Sheaf.
If Faz gets injured we can put Hyam in the middle and bring in Rose.
If Moore gets injured we've got Wilson. Doesn't bear thinking about.

They are decent back up options. But point is they are still not first choice.

It's incredible how far we have progressed even from last year.

Maatsen? Really? Jury's still out for me.

Just remembering the drop in quality when we took Györkeres off at QPR, the ball just didn’t stick at all.

I like Allen but inthink a large part of his renaissance has been the space afforded to him by O’Hare and I don’t think he could do O’Hares job as well on his own. Id be happier him covering Hamer with Sheaf alongside I think. Of course if Bright can remove his head from his arse or Jones can step up we might have decent cover for O’Hare. Both big ifs though.

This thread just goes to show how much the quality of our squad has improved.
Not just the new additions but the ones that looked like they would struggle in the championship are really stepping up!
