Promotion Season Book (5 Viewers)

We will be launching a special book to celebrate the season shortly. It will be initially available online to pre-order soon. This will be a book full of great photos and memories from the season, and there will also be a limited edition hard back version with a special feature, with these limited edition copies also personally signed by Manager Mark Robins. This hopefully prove to be a special keep sake for Sky Blues supporters young and old, and help them to look back on a memorable campaign.

From Boddy's article.

Really good to see the club looking at other avenues of income.

Good luck to the Twitter admin though come 1st December when the books haven’t started arriving on peoples door mats.

Why would anybody be on the fence? It was a wonderful unexpected season in adversity and would be a must read for those that can.

Them people who for example rarely have £25 spare for a month and if it was a toss up between the book (postage n all in the above amount) or a monthly meet up with friends or something.

Most books you get snippets of, autobiographies etc

Questions I'd have would be around how it's powered, whether batteries are replaceable, etc. If I drop £150 on a book, I've got to be able to look back on it in 20 years.

Don't look back at it mate , face forward

Might get my missus it for Christmas..

I know she doesn't like coventry city or football , but I kill 2 birds with 1 stone .

Can't say I didn't get her a Xmas present and she will give the book to me

Probably the best Simpsons episode when Homer buys Marge a bowling ball engraved “Homer” 👌🏻

Just had this chat with the wife (who incidentally is on board to buy me this for Christmas). As you say, would like more info for £150.

Hi Evo, I would like to apologise for every time I've disagreed with you. You look like a double hard bastard in your new profile photo.
Please don't hurt me.

Really really disagree with this. Great the club are looking at commercial avenues, great to celebrate the title win and I don't even mind the two price structures or the MR signatures etc, but listing people who order the £150 in the book, is a step too far imo. It's like saying they are more elite and yet had no bearing on us winning that title. If they'd contributed to the campaign it would be better, but otherwise just a list of folk who have more money than others. I was kind of the same with shirts, but they were more accessible was a 'one off' and was a season we couldn't attend and included tv games on ifollow.

But isn’t it only the £150 books that will have the names in? Don’t really see the issue personally. I’d agree if it is/was a case of the names being published in the cheaper books too, otherwise I don’t see it being any different to the bricks at the Ricoh. Less so tbh as presumably only those getting the more expensive book will see it.

To me it just looks like a way of justifying charging a big premium on something that’s probably costing an eighth of that cost to have made. The manager’s autograph being the other.

Interestingly the company producing these also makes wasps programmes. Would be very surprised if this was a coincidence and shows the interaction between the two clubs

This is a pretty common thing for books like this that have a small print run. Pretty sure I’ve got other CCFC books that are the same, in fact I think my name might be in one of them!

If you go onto the website they’ve made similar books for Leeds and Wolves promotions
