Godden is a wily old fox - he might not have the bustle of Waghorn but his pass for the first goal and conning of the Ref give him the edge for me.

I love godden , he was huge for us in league 1 , today second half he showed he can influence matches against the best in this league too

I’d go:

Moore
Hyam McFadz JCS
Kane Hamer Sheaf Dabo
O’Hare
Viktor Waghorn

I think. Play your best players. We’ve changed winning teams and lost and kept them and won.

Godden looked fit and hungry today, the competition for places looks to have given him an edge, I'd play him alongside Gyokeres against Blackburn, but if it's not working we need a plan B, and that should be Gyokeres up front on his own, with Kelly as a holding midfielder in front of the back 3 which should allow Hamer and O'hare to play 10 yards further forward.

I though Godden looked more of a goal threat than Waghorn.

Godden was good second half. I wonder if Waghorn can play a bit deeper in the box though, I think he’s better out of possession.
Waghorn is better out of possession,
but Godden is a man possessed!

I've no idea what that means either, but it kind of sounds good!

Think waghorn is the old fashioned term "second striker " like to play 5 /10 yards behind the main man (Bergkamp ) mould but nowhere near as good obviously

Godden is a striker

Going off Eobins comments I think its, inevitable that we'll change the way we set up against Blackburn and I strongly suspect it will be 1 up front

It's at least worth seeing how Gyo gets on holding the line on his own, but work needs to go in to making sure players get forward quickly in support when he gets it.

Who you dropping? Sheaf I assume as this seasons boo boy?
Sheaf looked good today, he made a couple of fuck ups, but so did most players, all in all he played his part in a great result, and as a player that is still improving and developing, he needs supporting, not knocking.

Hyam made by far the worst fuckups today, Maatsen had one where he kicked it straight up in the air in our box and nearly gave a chance away, McFadz should’ve scored at 0-0. For some reason it’s only Sheaf’s who get remembered. He’s like most of the squad: young and improving and on his day absolute quality.

I mean this is a place where 'I have a gut feeling that Sheaf gives the ball away all the time' is repeated even when hard evidence is shown that he doesn't. Then when he has a good game today it's only because of a Kelly masterclass. He'll have to do the midfielding equivalent of what Moore did to you to change minds around here

You are spot on

One dodgy half does not mean he is “not good enough for this level” (I know you didn’t say that btw) and that’s what gets a tad annoying, the over the top statements writing people off based on one half against a highly fancied team off the back of a 5-0 drubbing.

Agreed, funnily enough the guy next to me gave Maartsen absolute dogs abuse all match, until he smashed one in, he was quiet as a mouse after I took the piss out of him!
