Do love a good dystopian society though. Anyone got any good recommendations I might have missed?
The Keith Lard episode (and the one in Phoenix Nights) is hilarious - even if it did land them in a bit of trouble.Just rewatched That Peter Kay thing , for the first time in years
I forgotten how good the Leonard de Tomkinson episode was
Thought it was shit. Great idea poorly executedThe Many Saints of Newark - the Sopranos prequel movie. Really good, but wanted more by the time it finished.
Did you see city make a guest appearance hahaThanks to Pirate Bay I've finally started to watch Ted Lasso. Much better than I thought it would be.
Did you see city make a guest appearance haha
Wonder if we got any cash for that?Did you see city make a guest appearance haha
You still watching it Clint ? It’s ticking along well ,Watched Kin, only 2 in but not a patch on Love/Hate at the minute.
Fran is one of the all time great TV villains

You still watching it Clint ? It’s ticking along well ,
If no one has already mentioned it, Squid games awesome watch.
Apologies as I think this may be a theme for me on this thread…nearly at the end of the 1st season of the Sopranos.
It turns out everyone I’ve ever spoken to about it is right…it’s brilliant!
Also Tony’s mother is an absolute monster!! What a great character!
There’s so many levels…the gangster stuff is almost secondary. ALMOST!'I wish the Lord would take me now!'
Let me add to that ‘I-Land’ also on Netflix - utter dirge.Guilty on Netflix: it’s shit, don’t bother.
Yeah, up to 4. Decent but still don't think it's up to Love/hate levels.
But then again Fran is one of the all time great TV characters for me so hard to rival.
Where can I find Love/Hate? Had a quick Google and I’m intrigued!
Don't get me wrong, The Guilty was ridiculous at times, but then Vigil was this ridiculous times 10 and I liked that too, daft as it was.
I didn't get the twist first thing. Think I was too invested in Jake Gyllenhaal's character. Wasn't a surprise when the twist came though and I thought that bit was poorly executed. It just didn’t go anywhere for me. The “twist” was very obvious early on and not enough to sustain the film on its own as me I didn’t care enough about the characters. I left feeling quite unsatisfied.

shes some piece of workApologies as I think this may be a theme for me on this thread…nearly at the end of the 1st season of the Sopranos.

Yeah, I got that and I read the reviews. Most said it was worth watching for Jake Gyllenhaal's performance alone and that was very good and it is a remake of the original Danish film, with the exact same plot. That film has fabulous reviews.I just thought it was a total stretch to attempt to link his personal crisis with the one unfolding on the call. Felt the whole thing was disjointed.

Gonna watch it tomorrowIn the Many saints she reminds A bit of Carmela, wonder if that was something the deliberately wanted to put in?
The young Janice was spot on.
Corey Stoll is a great actor but didn't think he worked as Uncle Junior.
