Not new but started the Handmaids Tale. Swings between pretty good and unwatchably boring IMO. And seems to be entirely shot in dark rooms with one tiny light.

Do love a good dystopian society though. Anyone got any good recommendations I might have missed?

Started to watch a few times but never finished, but nearly at the end of the first series of The Kiling. What a fantastic series.

Me and Mrs Torch have also started watching Peaky Blinders again from the beginning.

Did you see city make a guest appearance haha
Wonder if we got any cash for that?

The Athletic reported this week that a licensing deal has been signed to use Prem names and kits for series 3, a nice spoiler as with the final episode still to air we don't know if they're getting promotion.

Apologies as I think this may be a theme for me on this thread…nearly at the end of the 1st season of the Sopranos.
It turns out everyone I’ve ever spoken to about it is right…it’s brilliant!
Also Tony’s mother is an absolute monster!! What a great character!

Don't get me wrong, The Guilty was ridiculous at times, but then Vigil was this ridiculous times 10 and I liked that too, daft as it was.

It just didn’t go anywhere for me. The “twist” was very obvious early on and not enough to sustain the film on its own as me I didn’t care enough about the characters. I left feeling quite unsatisfied.

I didn't get the twist first thing. Think I was too invested in Jake Gyllenhaal's character. Wasn't a surprise when the twist came though and I thought that bit was poorly executed.

I just thought it was a total stretch to attempt to link his personal crisis with the one unfolding on the call. Felt the whole thing was disjointed.

There’s so many levels…the gangster stuff is almost secondary. ALMOST!

Yeah, I got that and I read the reviews. Most said it was worth watching for Jake Gyllenhaal's performance alone and that was very good and it is a remake of the original Danish film, with the exact same plot. That film has fabulous reviews.

In the Many saints she reminds A bit of Carmela, wonder if that was something the deliberately wanted to put in?

The young Janice was spot on.

Corey Stoll is a great actor but didn't think he worked as Uncle Junior.

Probably have to wait for The Many Saints of Newark to come out for streaming. I know nobody personally who watches The Sopranos, it’s a joke. And I feel weird going to the cinema on my own.
