Not himI remember Andy Richie scored for Oldham against but he wasn't blessed with a lot of hair
i remember standing on the south bank in 1972 FA cup quarter final with about 12000 city fansI know it's not a general rule, but I recall standing on the South Bank at Molineux in the mid-sixties (or slightly after), and there were an awful lot of us.
I must’ve been in there with you, my memory exactly!!Went inside for a piss it was blue sky and sunny, came out and it was 3 inches of snow everywhere. One long piss!
it was 1973 and a horrible day all said and done and a pathetic end of season thereafter including a 3-0:drubbing at St Andrews the next week with less than 500 fans there.i remember standing on the south bank in 1972 FA cup quarter final with about 12000 city fans
We played Oldham twice in a season midweek maybe in 93/94, drew 1-1 in league and lost 2 or 3-0 in league cup and Wegerle was sent off. CCFC put on loads of coaches for cup game at a reduced price and the driver of the 1 I was on thought Oldham was near Liverpool until I told him he was going the wrong way!! It's always cold at Boundary Park, I think it is highest above sea level English ground.
Me too wow memories
Was it 2-0 and a tall permed lad not Ian Marshall up front for them. What was his name
I was at that one. We had the whole end . I thought it was more like 20,000i remember standing on the south bank in 1972 FA cup quarter final with about 12000 city fans
Yeah i remember it, FA Cup 3rd round reply mid 90's.I went to the Norwich away game where we had dozens of coaches on a midweek fixture, I think the club may have paid for them or heavily subsidised them. I think it was a cup game?
I cant see us passing this extra 1000 full stop. Anywhere close to 3700 is still brilliant though considering where it is.on General Sale today I think. Interesting to see whether we get close to shifting the 3700 today.
yes you're correct 17th march 1973 I'm getting old and memory giving upit was 1973 and a horrible day all said and done and a pathetic end of season thereafter including a 3-0:drubbing at St Andrews the next week with less than 500 fans there.
Were you holding it for him? Might explain why he took so longI must’ve been in there with you, my memory exactly!!
Notable cold games, Wycombe away midweek a couple or so years ago -7degs and the MK Dons game away at the old Hockey stadium...
The MK Dons hockey stadium game is about as cold as I remember being at. Don't think it was the cold temperature in itself, but rather the biting Arctic wind that did for us that day.
Unfortunately changing at Preston, didn't know we could go via Manchester and would have preferred that for a couple of beers first.Anyone changing trains or in Manchester beforehand, theres a fair few of us meeting at SinclAirs Oyster Bar at 11am. 5 minute walk to Victoria for the 1pm train to Blackburn.
Won 2-1? Speedie double. including goal of the season. Think that was 88 thoughYeah i remember it, FA Cup 3rd round reply mid 90's.
I remember that one. He wouldn't let Duffy back on for an age even though he was screaming at him. Must have been on the sideline for at least 5 minutes ready to come back.coldest I remember at the Ricoh I think was against Crewe 1-1 draw
a night game had been snowing and was well below freezing
Doyle had been sent off - Page went off injured after having used 3 subs and then there was an issue with one of our injured players (Duffy?) not being allowed back onto the pitch after they had gone off for treatment - so we were effectively playing with 8 players only for Crewe to equalise well into stoppage time
just looked 28 December 2005 - looking at the temp state for that day was around -5 C without the windchill
Colder than Wycombe midweek away couple years ago?
It was bad -8 inside the groundNot sure that's possible.

Had its own supermarketI remember standing on the open terrace at Burnden Park against Bolton in the mid 90s. It was New Year iirc, think we won too, and I remember being as cold as I have ever been at a game of football. Patches of ice all over the terracing. Proper ground though.
